Y'all know I love and collect demijohns, but I have always loved the large ones that come in the basket they were used to ship in. Only problem most of them cost big bucks that I haven't forked out.
So when I took this large amber demijohn that I purchased in France last year...
with its wonderful old wooden bottom...
and its cool details and large size....
The two together became my version of a crated demijohn. The large bushel basket was only $22 and I already had the large bottle/demijohn.
Now I have the look I love for way less.
Great idea Kim...and great savings too!

ReplyDeleteThat is too clever Kim! I love it. What a fabulous idea, that I might have to steal :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful look. I like the contrast between the smooth, sleek glass and the rough, rustic basket a lot.
ReplyDeleteNice!! Don't you just LUV when a plan comes together :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Fits in there snug as a bug in a rug.

P.S. My daughter just started French 1 in high school. I am so happy (I was pretty sure she was going to take Spanish). She is even speaking about learning abroad in France for a year when she goes to college. I will HAVE TO take a couple of trips to check up on her! wink
Very nice Kim. They look like they were made for each other. I like your better than the source picture. Sweeeet! Happy Weekend.
