I hope y'all had a good weekend. I am in North Carolina for a few days checking out all the new furniture and home decor trends at the High Point Furniture Market. I hope to have some good photos to share soon.
Things change quickly around here especially when the mister finally says we should get a new mattress. I just shared the Guestroom Bed with you a couple weeks ago in its new color, but now that room has changed again. Remember I told you there was a big domino effect going on here.
Even though I just recently painted the bed in the guestroom gray it was the one to be switched out.
The pillows that were in the master moved in here. Well, actually the white quilted shams were supposed to get used on the new bed in my room, but they didn't work out so I'm using two of them in here.
Even the mirror moved and I love how it makes a statement against the white wall.
The table and nightstand even switched places.
Switching them was a better fit with this bed.
The vignettes were changed up a bit.
I'm glad the buffalo checked bed skirt can still be used.
I placed this vintage bulb basket at the end of the bed filled with pillows.
Now the room has even more of the French feel I wanted. So glad it all worked out.
The old bed is going to a new home.
So whatcha think?
Such a cozy looking room! Can't wait to see the master reveal next. I was at Market on Saturday for 10 hours. Wear comfortable shoes!

Looks wonderful! I love the cozy welcoming feel of all the rooms you share. I'm trying to find the pieces to make my new/old (bought less than a year ago/built in 1925) have a cozy welcoming feel. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.
ReplyDeleteI kind of thought you might switch that headboard to a guest room. It is too beautiful to get rid of. I think it looks really great in there. I am looking forward to seeing your "new" room. Hope you girls are having fun- Make that Shirley behave herself-you know how she is! xo Diana

ReplyDeleteWell, you know that saying . . . there are two things in life you can count on . . . death and taxes. Well, I need to add a third . . . "continued decor change in the Savvy household" . . . I love the bed and bedding in its "new home"....and yes, the room is looking "frenchier" !!!...Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love that mirror. I've got to find one similar.
ReplyDeleteThe room looks so lovely! I really love the mirror and the basket with the pillows at the foot of the bed. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat do I think??? It's gorgeous!! Love the French look and those lamps are gorgeous! I know I have seen them before...okay which room where they in...or were they in the guest room...sorry I forgot! Have fun looking at all the new furniture designs!
ReplyDeleteWhen I have a domino effect here the last domino down usually leads to a room full of junk that I had no where else to put. And how old am I?.... I still have not mastered the art of putting a bed together with the right stuff, do you give classes?
ReplyDeleteLove your bedroom! Everytime I see the mirror above your bed I get envious and would love to have one like it...if it was me I'd hang some vintage plates around the top half of the mirror in a sort of semi-oval. Ever think of trying that?
