I like to pull these birds back out in the fall and winter that I purchased at Hobby Lobby years ago. I think they still sell them. I dressed mine up a bit with some gold guilder's paste.
Bunches of dried naturals that I had on hand were just tucked into the confit pots from France.
I love how the dried naturals in the pots picks up the same look in the art work.
In just a few short days the mantel will be dressed in its Christmas finest.
I bet some of you have your Christmas mantels done already. Well, come back here tonight and show them off along with anything else y'all have to wow us with.
See y'all there!

ReplyDeleteI have a pair of brass pheasants, that I love. Your pheasants look wonderful on your mantel with your confit pots.
ReplyDeleteYou home and fall are like best buddies! It just shines with all your fall touches. Your pheasants are gorgeous... who knew a little gilding could make them look expensive! Beautiful as usual, Kim!
ReplyDeleteI need those pheasants! Pretty mantle.sheila@mykentuckyliving
ReplyDeleteI bought those birds a few years ago as well and painted mine, too.
ReplyDeleteYour pheasants look very pleasant on your fall mantel, Kim! Since we're having a small Thanksgiving with just the 3 of us, I'm already decorating for Christmas. But my house looks like a bomb went off in it! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous mantel Kim! I love those pots!

Kim, the simplicity of your autumn mantel appeals to me. The way the dried wheat picks up the details in the painting makes a lovely statement, and using them in the confit pots is the icing for me. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
