How was your weekend? Mine was busy busy. I can finally knock a project off my list. I actually tackled the bonus/hoarding room. I took six SUV loads to GoodWill and I bought shelves that Mr. Savvy put together in our storage room off the garage. The things I kept ended up on those shelves. It feels so good to get that giant job done and my poor muscles are feeling it. I walked up and down our stairs way too many times. I will show you what I did in there soon.
Today I am sharing how the master looks now with the new king size bed. There are lots of photos and I will come back soon and share sources. BTW, it was really hard getting good photos in my bedroom this time of year. I either have a ray of morning sun shining in or it is dark.
You can see what the bedroom last looked like with the queen bed here.
Only thing left to do in here is replace the ceiling fan with a chandy.

I hope y'all have a great week!
Love the "new master"...you added the perfect touches to the room...the mirror looks amazing over the bed...so glad you decided to get it!!!....So I am to assume the hoarding room is empty and most likely ready for another project!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely, Kim. The bedding is perfection. You have given me several ideas for our remake of our bedroom.
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous, Kim!! Looking forward to seeing what's happened in the bonus room.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful master bedroom. Love that headboard!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, elegant and cozy! In other words, Perfection!
ReplyDeleteI have been eyeing the crochet trimmed pillowcases on Pottery Barn's website. They are sold out of the ivory color that I originally wanted. What color did you use? Is that pumice?
DeleteKim, it looks so beautiful. I love the new headboard and bedding, everything is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kim!! Luv the euro shams. Here in Florida, I could never replace the ceiling fan. A MUST in the heat of Summer .And Spring... and Fall :)
ReplyDeleteGoing back for another peek.
Gee, we never use ours anymore. It just collects dust on the blades.
DeleteVery pretty Kim the new bedding looks beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI Love, love it. It looks so warm and comforting yet glamorous at the same time. You really have a good eye.
ReplyDeleteWould it be weird if I came and took a nap in your bed? Lol It is absolutely beautiful Kim! Love the neutrals and especially love that headboard! So relaxing and peaceful looking!

Gorgeous room! The headboard, bedding and the bench are my all time favorites! Curios about what's next for the hoarding room, I guess that name is gonna be changed. :)
ReplyDeleteIt all looks very pretty. We have very similar lamps (the ones on your bedside tables) that I recently found and you will never believe where - - - TARGET! LOL A chandy would be pretty but I don't think I can sleep without my ceiling fan.
ReplyDeleteYour new bed is beautiful....I love the beddding! I would love to have a chandelier in our bedroom but we can't live without the ceiling fan because it just gets waaaaaaay to hot in the summer time. Oh, the new mirror above the bed is so pretty too!

A very pretty room. Love all the neutrals!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely soft winter look you have in here. I am wanting to switch to an upholstered headboard too and this has me convinced that I am on track. Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteyour room looks so relaxing and cozy Kim-I really like what you did!
ReplyDeleteKim, It looks very, very nice. I love the color and it looks to be the same as our media room. Such a soft, wonderful, warm color to live with. Your headboard is beautiful and the whole room really looks great! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I'm working on a master bedroom re-do and appreciate the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful room...love your style!
ReplyDeleteLove the update Kim, looking warm and cozy for the winter months. That bed is fantastic and you dressed
ReplyDeleteit beautifully!!
It looks beautiful Kim. I love your new headboard with the wings....
ReplyDeleteKim, your Master Bedroom is beautiful. We have a unfinished bonus room that I hoard in as well. Since I have retired I have been slowly trying to clean that room out. I have made , like you, several trips to Goodwill . Saturday I had a yard sale, just trying to de junk.I still have plenty in that room to do to organize the things I am keeping, and I am sure I will find a lot more stuff to take to Goodwill.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! Love the fabric combo's, accents and the headboard. The mirror above the bed looks perfect there.
ReplyDeleteThat bed and its bedding look scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bedroom, Kim. We never use our master bedroom fan either and replaced it with a chandy also and like it much better. Love your beddings and accessories....Christine
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING! The absolutely perfect room...thx for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh, Kim. Wow. Your bedroom has always been beautiful, but it looks positively SMASHING now! Love the bed. I can hardly believe that you had a queen before--for some reason, I always thought your bed was king size. But then, I tend to assume that people have king-size beds. My husband is so tall that we bought a king-size bed just as soon as we had a bedroom big enough to hold one. . . I guess our first one was bought in 1997, maybe? :)
ReplyDeleteEverything you touch turns to gold, girl. Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for the bonus room!
I like that mirror so much better than the other one over the queen bed. I like the settee at the foot of the bed. Do you find the back a little high? Your master came together nicely, Kim.
ReplyDeleteYour room looks beautiful. Love the neutral color. Great bed and of course who doesn't like a monogram pillow. Great job and enjoy you new room
ReplyDeleteA beautiful bedroom. The color is very restful. I see a couple of items I would love to pinch! Love your monogram pillows so much. I love the idea and want to have a couple like you...but with my initials of course. We have enjoyed a king size for years...and I do not think I could go back.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your photographs.

Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on cleaning out the room. I'm working in that direction on closets around here. Slow process.
ReplyDeleteLove the new bed and the look of your master.
Stunning, Stunning, STUNNING!!! You have my "dream" headboard too :-) Thanks for continuing to inspire me!! ~hugs~
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom turned out so pretty! I know you must be enjoying your bigger bed. With your new mirror, upholstered headboard and cheetah pillows, it has sort of a Hollywood glam vibe to it. Very elegant!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous - so incredibly comfortable and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKim, your room is just stunning! Love every detail from the upholstered headboard, to the mirror, the throws, etc. I just like every single thing! And if you guys don't use your fan, then you definitely need a chandy in that room! Wowee!
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning, Kim! I love love love your bedding. I'ts so luxurious! And perfect with your beautiful bed!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Kim!!! Your new bedding is gorgeous! I love all the prints and you know I love the animal print pillows. It all looks fabulous, LOVE the mirror over the bed.
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful! I'm looking forward to your sources, especially for that headboard. I got a sleigh bed a few years back because I wanted the comfort of the curved back, but it has such a heavy look that I'd really love to replace it. The tufted headboard looks very comfortable and so much prettier than a bulky sleigh bed. I all love that painted chest at the bedside. And I'm still loving what you did with the bench... :-)

Beautiful bedroom! Don't you just love having a king bed? I upgraded to one years ago and can't imagine ever going back to a queen!
ReplyDeleteWow Kim your bedroom looks beautiful. I'm loving the bench you just painted too. -Kristi
ReplyDeleteThe headboard makes the room looks so chic. And I think the idea to put the animal print on the old French chair is totally unexpected and works great.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful Kim. LOVE the mirror too!
ReplyDeleteYour new bedroom is so sumptuous and cozy. I love the soft color pallet. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe bedroom is beautiful, love all your furniture,i don't think i would want to get out of bed. lol Thanks for the tour.
ReplyDeleteWow......it looks absolutely gorgeous Kim...like right out of a magazine! Love all of the changes...although I thought it looked incredible before too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I love the neutral colours and the mix of textures!
ReplyDeleteLove your bedding Kim and the bench is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
It looks gorgeous Kim! Can't wait to see what chandy you pick out. I would love one in our master but we would die without our ceiling fan. It never gets turned off.
ReplyDeleteHello this is gorgeous. What paint color is on the walls?
ReplyDeleteAlexandria Beige by Benjamin Moore. Thanks
DeleteHi do you remember where this headboard is from? Beautiful!
