In 2014 I did a bit of hunting and picking for treasures. Sometimes I'm looking for something specifically, but most of the time I just look and if something grabs my attention I take a closer look. I love the thrill of the hunt. Here are some of my favorite finds last year and how I used them in my home. Maybe you will find some inspiration from these. You can click on the title of the post under each photo to see more.
There were more, but we will stop here. I found some more treasures on a recent trip out of town right after Christmas and will share those in future posts.
Happy hunting and decorating!

Great recap of your finds! I love your collection of ironstone; it looks fantastic in your china cabinet! The bread boards are also great! You really found seem jewels, Kim!
ReplyDeleteYou are a great huntress! I love all of your finds but my favorite is the pine chest! Can't wait to see your recent finds!
ReplyDeleteI have been finding some treasures in the after Christmas sales, but some things are not Christmas, just for "winter decor"!! Love ALL your finds!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous finds for sure! I guess my favorite rooms in your house are the sunroom and the guest bedroom.

I think my favorites are the gate and ironstone. Love both. You find some great things during your "hunting." I think love "the thrill of the hunt." I think women are the hunters and gatherers. Ha!

Always love to see the treasures you find Kim! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your finds for the year. I remembered all of them except for the bowl. You have a wonderful collection of ironstone. I'm on the lookout for transfer ware, an old door, shutter and wine crates. Think that's enough, LOL

Beautiful finds. Such a lovely chest. I adore the striped, vintage bowl and the vignette. Must look for a shutter--the antlers are beyond perfect. I'm going back to look!
ReplyDeleteMy hands down favorite is the yellowed bowl with the blue stripe.
ReplyDeleteWonderful finds Kim!! I started the year off with a few good finds already...can't wait to share them:-)
ReplyDeleteYou have found so many great things. I still love that blue shutter being used in your bedroom. I also love all of your ironstone and the flea market finds in your guest room.
ReplyDeleteAll these pieces are lovely Kim and your photographs are gorgeous, I especially love the corner vignette with the chair. I am forever seeing lovely things but don't have the space for them all. This year I am going to have a huge clear out and yard sale so I can buy more of the things I love. I have a huge job ahead of me, an attic full of boxes of things and two sheds full of stuff.

I thought I was going to be able to pick a favorite, but I just can't. But maybe I'll just say the salvage piece in the kitchen. Happy New Year, Kim!
