I didn't purposely set out to create a French Country style mantel it just sort of happened and it came together over time.
I'm still using the confit pots from France at each end. I was thrilled when I finally found a pair of these and I like having them where I can enjoy looking at them.
For a couple weeks I only had the two pots at each end and then I didn't have a place to use the vintage bread basket, that needed to move from where it was, so I just stuck it up on the mantel and liked the texture it added so I left it.
About a week ago I was tired of moving my vintage scale from the kitchen counter every time I needed the counter space so I found a new place for it, which you will see soon, and that meant the two dog trophies had to be moved so again I just kind of stuck them next to the confit pots and there they stayed.
It was just another domino effect taking place around here.
What else is new?
I'm liking how it came together.
Happy Thursday!
Happy Thursday!
The confit pots look great on the mantel and I am loving the French Country Mantel look...loving the dog trophies with the dog themed painting.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean by domino effect! My whole house is in chaos due to Christmas and now a new couch! Everything is being reevaluated and moved around. Driving my usband crazy:) Love both the topiaries and the trophies.
