Is it really cold where you are? Today we are supposed to be five degrees warmer than yesterday, but tomorrow the arctic blast moves in. I have been so cold lately, but I fight the cold off with a nice fire and a cozy throw.
I started a new paint project over the weekend and now it is too cold in the garage to paint. Not to worry I just moved it inside. There's no stopping me!
Do you have any new projects yet? Then come back tonight and link them up.
In the mean time stay warm.
See y'all tonight!
Faux shutters? :) No, no new projects as yet... still working on the sun room.
ReplyDeleteStay warm!!
No, they are very real.
DeleteI have to sand and refinish a chair, but today will still be in the 60's - compared to this coming Thursday when it will be in the teens! Of course, we have a blogger's meeting that morning, so we'll all be frozen solid!
ReplyDeleteYour fire looks so ultra cozy!
They are looking great!! Stay warm...it is a bit cold here too, but getting colder tomorrow....the good thing is that there will be no snow!
ReplyDeleteIts only this time of year that I'm thankful for fluctuating hormones making me hot! Lol! You're right it has been so cold! Your room looks so cozy with the fire. Looking forward to seeing your completed project.
ReplyDeleteWe are chilly in S. Alabama too. I love it though! Fire is going (our main source of heat in our rustic home) and I am toasty in my Uggs! :) Finishing my after Christmas cleaning today then starting on the dining room table and chairs. I'm sitting here looking at how awful they look. Moving cross country was not very nice to them. Paint to the rescue! Have a great day and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteIt has been extremely cold here the last couple of weeks....tomorrows high is 8*. All projects are on a temporary hold until the temp gets above freezing. Can't wait to see what you are working on!!!

It's below zero here and I have a paint project to do too but with spray paint. That doesn't work to well in the house, but no chance of warm weather here until June.
ReplyDeleteYour fireplace is so inviting and cozy. I've been gathering tartan throws for Wednesday, when our temp will plunge down to an unbearable 3 degrees. I keep looking at the weather apps, hoping to see different numbers. I'm staying indoors and whipping up food-related projects.
ReplyDeleteSo cozy!! The shutters look great!
ReplyDeleteI've just been cleaning and organizing. Need to clear out stuff we don't use throughout the whole house is going to be a big job. Would rather be painting something like you!
ReplyDeleteI would like it to be cold because that might bring snow to the mountains so we can start using our season passes for skiing at June Mountain. Instead, today it is expected to be 81 degrees!
ReplyDeleteYou and I live in the same general area, so I'm getting ready for the arctic blast, too. Fortunately, we have lots of firewood stocked! As for projects, I'm hanging a few new pictures and stuff. I rarely do big things; I just like to read the blogs of others who do!
ReplyDeleteIs it a bench? I bet it's colder here today...it's 4..tomorrow we will be in negative numbers :-( . Yes I have lots of small projects.I need supplies but I don't want to go out LOL!
ReplyDeleteWe have a few inches of snow here by the coast in New York... Our first snow fall for the year. I have a paint project to do too that I have been procrastinating. Good day to start! I love the cozy fireplace...
ReplyDeleteI do not care for paint projects. LOL! Your shutters will look great!
ReplyDeleteFreezing and snowing here in NJ! It's supposed to be frigid tomorrow. Your fire looks very cozy, though! Can't wait to see your project. I haven't started a thing!
ReplyDeletePainting by the warm fire with a cup of coffee close by, heaven!
ReplyDeleteNew projects are on hold for right now. I'm purging some closets and my sewing room that caught all the junk over the holidays. I do have some big plans for this year.
ReplyDeleteIt's not cold in Brittany: we're used to very mild Winters and not very hot summers... But the days are very short still in January and it makes beginning (or finishing) a project after work impossible! I'll get inspiration from yours waiting for the days to get longer!
ReplyDeleteIt's cold in south central kentucky! sheila
ReplyDeleteIt has been snowing here since last night:( At noon they said it was over. It is 3:30 and still snowing. I am taking Christmas down, just started today. The house is a wreck:( See ya tonight!
ReplyDeleteWhat you up to girl!? No doubt it will be gorgeous! Thank you for hosting your awesome inspirations this new year! xoxoaimee
ReplyDeleteIt was bitter cold here. Stay warm. I can't wait to see the new project.
ReplyDeleteI'm salivating to paint some things around here. But for now I'm stuck with the weird ear injury of last week with the phone and no balance. So will have to wait.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Your fire and throw look very cozy Kim. I have been sitting by the fire quite a bit as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm itching to get to another paint project for our home soon. Thanks for sharing your inspiration with us!
