So I told you in the last post that I had been doing some shuffling of things and I mentioned that the antique French table moved to one of the guestrooms. Of course it moved to my French styled one. If you need to refresh your memory of what table was here before you can check out this post. The old table will be used in the new bonus room guestroom which still needs to be painted.
I accessorized the top and bottom of the table with a few of my things with a French feel like my favorite bull.
I have had this old piece of pottery for several years and love the rustic appeal it adds.
Greenery tucked in a clay pot adds softness to the vignette.
The clay pot sits on a scalloped edge bowl with the prettiest tiny blue flowers that I found in an antique mall a couple years ago.
I pulled this stone sheep out of storage to sit on a stack of books.
I still love the feminine details of this cheap lamp from Hobby Lobby.
I still love the feminine details of this cheap lamp from Hobby Lobby.
I love the intricate inlay on top of the table and don't want to completely cover it up.
I think I like this new spot for my French table how about you?
Have a fabulous weekend and a very Happy Valentines Day!
Looks great, such a beautiful table.

Cindy
I like it too Kim! The color of the stain looks so pretty up against that wall color.
ReplyDeleteYou, my dear Francophile, are the ideal ambassador of French design! Love it, and the effects of your new lens in picture 4, with the plant!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day, to you, too!

That beautiful table is perfect there!...Loved it in the sitting room and love it here!....It would be gorgeous in any room of your home...such a versatile piece!....and love the way you styled it!
ReplyDeleteI love that table being used in the guest room as a bed side table. It's very open and airy with the legs showing.
ReplyDeleteI love that table (and the stone sheep).
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat table is stunning and what a perfect spot for it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table and it looks great in the guest room. I love your bull....
ReplyDeleteYour blog is one of my very favorites! I love the table...and it looks great in its new location! (It is so beautiful, my guess is that it would look wonderful no matter where you placed it in your lovely home!) :) Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I love your table, Kim. I had one similar to yours. It was given to me by my Grandmother. I cherished it until we moved from Ohio to Florida. The movers helped themselves to quite a few of my things including my beautiful table. We've been in Florida for ten years now, but I'm stll feeling sad about my stolen table which I'll never recover!
ReplyDeleteLove the table but would rethink the "bull"...you have a litho of sheepabove table, a bull and another sheep..seems a lot of fighting for attention. Not being critical! Just to give a different sight:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, but that is a bit over thinking design to me. I just placed things I already had there before and then added the sheep on the bottom. Wasn't even thinking about sheep and bulls not getting along. :)
DeleteIt's beautiful there ( and the previous spot!) I love the little saucer under the plant (I'm a lover of all things blue!) and the little lamb!
ReplyDeleteI love hearing the details of your details, and this is one of the prettiest tables I've ever seen. Perfection!
ReplyDeletePerfect spot for that sweet table Kim. But then.... no matter where you put It will be perfect! Luv the warmth of the wood against the wall.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty piece Kim, love the detail on top! Happy V day!
ReplyDeleteLove the table, especially your bull! Beautiful home!
ReplyDeleteLove it, Kim. Have a great weekend!!!

Kim, you amaze me. Of course I know that a lot of what you're able to do in your house now stems from your having collected things over the years, always with that great eye of yours. . . but still you just seem to have the "magic touch" for pulling things together! I love it when you show how you use your beautiful things in different rooms at different times. You inspire me to try some new things in new places--and you inspire me to look for quality items that will last for years instead of just shopping for the newest thing. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that looks great there....and you have dressed it beautifully. LOVE that lamp shade! Happy Valentine's Day to you- xo Diana
