A couple weeks ago I took y'all shopping with me on St. Simons Island and told y'all I bought something from a cute shop we found.
As soon as I saw these I knew they would be perfect in my bedroom on my dresser in place of the huge lamps I have been using. These fit my style much better.
I love that they look like an old architectural piece turned lamp. They came with the tassel, too.
Great finish on these and Mr. Savvy said the knob on the front is like lamps in a hotel room. hmmmm
I like where the knob is. It makes them very easy to turn on.
Between the lamps I have an ironstone platter filled with my jewelry.
Yes, I have a thing for watches and even had one on when I took this.
Don't worry about any thieves looking at my stash. This is all cheap stuff.
My vintage glove mold holds the rest of my costume jewelry.
Two framed family photos and the tall mirror finish out what I have on my dresser.
I'm loving the new lamps.
Grounding without overpowering the furniture, don't I sound fancy? Seriously, loving how the tassel, it brings out the wood in the dresser. They look made for each other. Great find!
ReplyDeleteThe lamps were the perfect choice for your room.
ReplyDeleteThe new lamps are very pretty and I'm inspired by the way you paired them with mirror. The dresser I just painted for our room is bare. I was considering a collection of framed pieces above it but this gives me another option to consider. Just last night I saw an episode of 'Island Life' on HGTV and it was in St. Simons.
ReplyDeletePretty lamps Kim...love the tassels.
ReplyDeleteLove the new lamps!! I had to laugh about your jewelry. I have a "thing" for jewelry....I have a jewelry armoire a hanging thing in my clost and several small drawers to hold all mine!!!!!!!!!!! Charming Charlie's is a VERY dangerous place for me to be in:):)

Your new lamps are very pretty and look so nice on your dresser. I'd love to change my dresser---take the attached mirror off and use a different mirror on the wall---did your dresser ever have an attached mirror?
ReplyDeleteLove your new lamps Kim and I'm loving your glove mold. The lamps look like the perfect addition to your dresser.
ReplyDeleteLove your new lamps and how fun it must have been to see the house that your parents built and how huge the oak has become! The house at the end of the street is ah-ma-zing!
