Have you ever been star struck? Well, I was when I received an email the other day from someone whose work I have admired for a few years. I have been following Leslie Sinclair of Segreto Finishes ever since I found her first book and blog. I was thrilled that she found me and asked little ole me to review her second book "Segreto Style".
This is one huge coffee table book with 301 pages of beautiful homes that Leslie and her team of artisans have created stunning finishes in. This book is full of gorgeous rooms that you will want to look at over and over.
I have looked and studied the pages of this book several times and have many favorites marked.
Y'all know I love to paint furniture and I wish I could create the finishes they do.
I snapped several of my favorite pages from the book to give you an idea of the gorgeous rooms that fill it.
I want to paint my bookcases in the great room and would love to recreate this finish, but I most likely will just paint them a solid color.
I love all the beautiful muted tones on the walls and ceiling.
Look at the artistry of this stunning powder room.
I want this kitchen! Look at the floor, the cabinets, of course finished by Segreto Finishes, and the island with the reclaimed white French oak. Oh, and I want that cow.
I know a lot of you like the look of old chippy shutters. I gasped when I saw these. The shutters are really old and were added to open bookshelves to cover the shelves up. Then the bottom cabinets and mantel were aged to blend in with the tones in the rest of the room.
Here is an aged mantel from another home.
Beautiful powder room.
Close up of the stenciled wall. Plaster with a metallic finish.
This powder room's walls were hand painted. Amazing, right?
There is so much more and some beautiful before and afters. As I said this book is huge and you can look at it for hours and miss something. I promise you will want to look at it more than once.
I know most of us don't live in high end homes like many in the book, but you can find so much inspiration to recreate some of the things at a much smaller budget. I love getting ideas from books like these.
You can't find this book in stores, but you can order it from Segreto Finishes.
For three days only Leslie is offering my readers $20 off the price of the book. Just use the code
savvysouthern when you check out.

Thank you, Leslie for sending me this book to review. I will be enjoying it over and over.
I was given the book to review and all opinions are my own.

I guess I am odd man out. Certainly beautiful rooms you have shown, and I do love the wood floors, the wood topped island in the kitchen, etc. I guess I am just not one for the finishes. I am surprised you like these rooms so well Kim since you love color. I use neutrals - with color added, so I am looking for some color in these pictures. The rooms in your home appeal to me more. Really, since blogs and pinterest, I do not buy as many magazines and books anymore. The discount is very kind and I hope many take advantage.
ReplyDeletetina, I like neutrals, too especially finishes like these. These rooms are breathtaking to me. I love the floors, the beams, and the finishes on the cabinets.Any of these rooms can have pops of color added with accessories.
DeleteI have been a fan of Segreto for awhile, their finishes are stunning and very inspirational! And that cow! Yes, I want it too!

I really like the look of white washed rooms and Leslie does a wonderful job at this, as well as incorporating warm woods.
