The deck painting is finished! We had glorious weather on Sunday with much cooler temps and way lower humidity and boy did it feel nice. So I grabbed the deck paint and got the floor and steps finished since that is all that was lacking. We had rain on and off all week so we waited till it was all clear to finish.
I probably shouldn't have tackled this because whatever popped in my rib area last week sure started hurting again after all this bending over. No more bending over for me until this gets well.
While I worked on the deck the mister started tackling the back yard to get it ready for new sod.
This area along the wood line was a big overgrown mess of briars and vines that he had to cut back and drag off.
Sprinklers have been marked. I knew used paint stir sticks were good for something.
We hated to do this, but the giant rose of sharons had to come down. They had gotten so large they were taking over the deck. Smaller bushes will be planted this fall.
Our raised garden box will also have to be taken down. The tomatoes don't taste right anyway so no big deal. Not sure why they don't taste good.
And if you follow me on Instagram, and you know you should be, then you saw the peeks of what I have bought so far for the deck.
The flamingo seems to be everyone's favorite.
Can't wait to put this all together.
I also can't wait to see what you have to share at Wow Us Wednesdays tonight.
See y'all there!
