If you follow me on instagram then you know we enjoyed using our outdoor area Sunday evening while we were experiencing some decent temperatures and lower humidity. Of course we were back to very warm and sticky on Monday. We are still not completely finished, but I wanted to share some more peeks at what I'm using on the deck.
I have already shown y'all some of the pillows I'm using, but when I saw these in the Pottery Barn catalog I knew the colors were perfect to pull everything together. You can't have too many pillows now can you?
Here is a peek at a very nice sized pouf that I purchased mostly with credits from Joss & Main. This will be good to put my feet up on or for extra seating.
I had already bought two of these lanterns at the Pottery Barn Outlet a couple weeks ago. They were originally $24.97 each, which I would never pay, marked down to $14.97 then to $4.97. Last weekend they were an extra 15% off so I went back and bought two more.
I'm loving how the pink outlet pillows go so well with my new pillows.
I pulled this photo from a very old post when I first shared the sun room. See those shutters? I have something planned for them for the deck, but I must do a little work to them first. I'm so glad I still have them and glad an idea for them popped in my head. Yea, that happens a lot.

Love all the pink. Here's a question for you - or anyone - do you leave all your cushions and pillows out all the time? We have wrought iron furniture and a vintage glider and chair on our patio and use the tufted cushions. They are sunbrella fabric, as are my outdoor pillows, but I do not leave them out. We have a deck box where I put the cushions and I have an area in the sunroom where I bring in my outdoor pillows. I have found (when they've been left out), that the inner cushions hold water and I then have to lay the cushions up on their sides, etc. to let the water drain. LOL My chair cushions are colored (geometric print) and the pillows are a coordinating floral pattern. I see all these pretty white seat cushions and wonder if they stay that way. Just curious!
ReplyDeletetina, I have been bringing mine in, but now I bought a tarp to put over everything when it isn't in use.
DeleteI have a deck box too and put my cushion and pillows in it and also cover the whole thing, inside the box with green trash bags to keep even more water out. I also sprayed all the cushions and pillows with stuff I found at Lowes to protect them from rain.
DeleteThanks Kim! The deck box is right there on the patio. It's a good sized patio and I'd have 2 seating areas to cover. We do store the furniture in the basement during winter though. I wondered if I was the only one and everyone else left the out in the elements. LOL
DeleteLooks like it's all coming together nicely and you're getting some great bargains too :)
ReplyDeleteKim, it is coming together nicely! I know you will enjoy your new outdoor space!
