Ticking and Checks

Remember the blue ticking Pottery Barn outlet shades that were in the farmhouse style guestroom?

There have been some things moving around and switching places, no, say it isn't so, and the shades have landed in the other guest room.

Since this room is done with mostly blues they were the perfect fit.

Of course when I change one simple thing there are usually a couple more changes. I took out the summer beachy pillows and brought my fave buffalo checked pillows back out.

Then to add a bit more European vibe I placed this old grain sack pillow in here, too. I think it likes its new spot.......for now.

More stripes and ticking are added with these pillows in the basket.

And more checks with this little pillow on this French style chair that recently moved to this spot.

I think I like ticking and checks together. What about you?

These changes were so simple and only took a few minutes for a new look.

    I'm crazy about both and love them together. I would do my entire house in ticking and checks if I could get away with it.

    I love, love your new decor, the blue checks and blue ticking are my favs! Did you get the blue ticking at your PB outlet? Online they say they are no longer available. Would you tell me the wall color. Your home is so beautiful and love your blog! Miss seeing your selfies on instagram! Peggy

      Hi Peggy, the wall color is French Canvas by Benjamin Moore. Yes, I scored those at the outlet a couple months ago. You are too sweet about the selfies. They weren't going over very well so I stopped them. :(

    Yes, definitely checks and ticking! A great Combo for sure. I think you could even add another blue and white pattern, maybe a toile in a dusty blue? Fun. Sheila
