How was your weekend? We had a big cool down and it actually felt like fall. That put me in the mood to do some more fall decorating. I don't like to do a lot of excessive fall decorating I just want to enhance what is already there. For the mantel that meant just adding two fall arrangements I have owned for years. Yes, years.
Once the leaves die I can just removed them or add some fake apples in their place.
Simple, easy decor, my favorite way to decorate! Your mantel is beautiful!

When you did this mantel with faux apples it was one of my favorites of yours. This trumps it, but will be just as nice when you need to revert to the faux apples again. Have a great week.

Hi Kim, I'm doing simple decorations for fall this year too rather than a full-blown display. I love your mantel

Simple, yet perfect! Love that painting! It reminds me of growing up on the farm! I really need to start looking for more vintage/antique paintings featuring farm life!

ReplyDeleteThere's nothing more beautiful than decorating with nature's abundance of prettiness. I know you visited an apple orchard recently, and obviously you gathered much of its bounty! Very elegant, Kim!

Simple little touches of autumn are the best, Kim. Did you get your apples at the grocery store? I've never run across them with stems on.
ReplyDeleteJust right!!
ReplyDeleteSlowly adding a few fall touches here too. Cooler weather helps! '-)
ReplyDeleteI like the fresh apples on the mantel. Mr. Savvy did a good job apple picking!

I love the direction of which your Fall decorating is going....a very beautiful direction of warm and natural elements. And have I ever told you that I love that painting there?!!!...
ReplyDeleteSimple but so beautiful!! I love decorating with natural elements like apples, though I've never thought about using them in the living room or on the mantle. I always come to your blog for fresh inspiration!

I really like how the red apple theme ties in with the colour of your furniture - perfect! When I see how wonderfully simple and lovely it is to decorate with real natural elements, I often think I should give it a try...would take a lot less storage than I'm currently using with all my "faux stuff".
ReplyDeletePerfectly simple! The apples are just the right touch.
ReplyDeleteIt's perfectly balanced and simply beautiful.
