The last time I shared my master bedroom was early summer with bold colorful summer bedding. A few months ago I found some very pretty ruffled shams in the softest blue color and knew they would be the perfect new addition in my bedroom. This time of year my bedroom is so dark, even with four windows, but I was able to let enough light in the camera plus editing to share what the room looks like now.
The soft blue shams have a beautiful long ruffle that make them so pretty and feminine.
Mr. Savvy's okay with that because he hasn't even noticed them.
I added my toile pillows that have the same shade of blue and my pillow from French Country Home that I have had for years.
How I make the duvet poofy can be found here.
I shared the large candlesticks and how I transformed them a couple weeks ago and this is where I'm using them.
Since the pair are the same height I just added two different items on top. One has a candle and the other one has a boxwood ball. The smaller one,I already had, has a boxwood ball, too.
Summer pillow has been replaced with this cheetah print pillow. Adding texture adds cozy.
Baskets are good for storage plus adding texture.
My neutral bedroom is like a big cozy cocoon.
Of course things may change again around the holidays. wink

ReplyDeleteKim, you are my favorite...always look forward to each new day and seeing what you are up to changing. Thanks so much for listing where you find the beautiful things you use...
ReplyDeleteI love your headboard -
ReplyDeleteI was going to order the entire platform bed, but after seeing your headboard I love that look
Especially because you can add a dust ruffle.
Is it a king bed??
Thanks Kim
Rose
Thank you, Rose. Yes, it is a king.
DeleteKim I love your added touches. I've been away for a bit, I had to for my MS, wasn't doing well. Those candlesticks are gorgeous. I read that you said you redid them. If you don't mind can you tell me where you purchased them? I'm always on the hunt and with not getting out much I try to find them online. Your bedroom is always pretty. Thanks
ReplyDeleteCindy
Sorry about your MS. You have been away a long time! The info is in the post that was highlighted, but they came from an antique mall. Sorry :( Hope you are doing better.

best Post Ever! Why? Sharing your secret for your puffy duvet at the end of your bed! Your tip is absolutely brilliant! I had to jump up-in the middle of reading today's post- to go and try it! I LOVE IT! I had 2 choices with what to do with my sleeping pillows after I make my bed in the morning- one choice was to keep them on the bed with the other 'dressier' shams or but them away in a nearby armoire. I neither liked them with the other decorative shams - is there such a thing as too many pillows? I am still struggling with that one!
ReplyDeletePutting them in the armoire was a reasonable solution but seemed like such an extra step. I love your idea f slipping them into the folds of my decorative comforter at the foot of the bed. Perfect solution for giving me that puffy look and keeping them handy for nighttime! You really aced this one Kim!
Thanks, Joanne. I'm glad you clicked on the link to that older post.
DeleteIt does look so comfortable and cozy.
ReplyDeleteSO SO SO pretty, Kim. Love the blue pillow covers with the elongated ruffle. Our bedroom is that soft blue and cream and I love it. I did it a year ago and still LOVE it! I find it is so easy to live with it. You did a great job and if I lived closer I would swoop in and steal those toile pillows while you were painting something in another room....lol Hope you have a great week, Kim. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteKim, your bedroom is so pretty - love all the pretty blues and ruffles.
ReplyDeleteMary
Your bedroom is just GORGEOUS! Love the addition of the soft blues, especially the ruffled shams. I have that same toile fabric that I used for a window treatment in our bathroom. I think I have enough left to have a pillow made!
ReplyDeleteI am spying a pillow with a hunt scene with red in it. Love that look especially this time of year.
ReplyDeleteso beautiful, Kim. I love the soft colors and comfy cozy linens!
ReplyDeleteYour master is always so beautiful Kim.
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom is beautiful, Kim. The soft colors are just perfect. Have a good day! Maria
ReplyDeleteSoo beautiful Kim. Very cozy and comfy feel to your Master.
ReplyDeleteKris
Can you share where you purchased your cheetah pillow, Kim? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLori, I bought two of them last year at a shop that makes custom pillows in North Carolina.
DeleteYour bedroom is beautiful! I LOVE those blue pillowcases with the long ruffles, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love it! So comfy, cozy and relaxed...I can just imagine you snuggled up in the bed drinking hot cocoa and looking at decorating magazines!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you buy that carpet? It's beautiful. I would want something like that for my room.
ReplyDeleteNaomi, the carpet is by Mohawk carpet so check out a store that carries Mohawk carpet and flooring.
