Does anybody really know what time it its? Does anyone really care...about time? Okay, now I have the song by Chicago stuck in my head and sorry you may, too. Remember the band Chicago? They actually are still around and performing and we saw them up close and personal in a private conference at a business conference several years ago. It was so good! I have always loved them. Of course this post isn't about Chicago.
This is about a trip to Pier One Imports after seeing some cute Christmas pillows on instagram that were from Pier One and I had to check them out. Turned out I didn't care for them in person.
Since I was already at the store and hadn't checked it out in a long time I thought I would look around.
There were lots of nice things and then on the back wall I spied this HUGE clock. I have always loved clocks, but especially giant ones. There was a sign stating that wall decor was on sale so I checked the tag. Yep, that baby was coming home with me! All 42 inches of it.
Then I was like where is it going to hang? I don't have many large walls that could handle anything this size. Only spot was in the dining room. So the dog painting has moved to the bonus room that is still waiting to be painted. Yes, I'm such a procrastinator, but it will be painted soon....I think. Actually I'm painting something else that I started over the weekend and you can see what it is on Instagram.
I'm loving the change. Oh, and I still don't really know what time it is because the hands aren't working, but I think Mr. Savvy can fix it. The short hand is loose. So six o'clock it is all the time!
PS....Mr. Savvy hasn't even noticed it yet!
Is he blind??
There is also another change in here I will share soon.

Great clock Kim! Funny that Mr. Savvy hasn't noticed it!
ReplyDeleteIt's perfect for that room! Great buy:)
ReplyDeleteLove the clock, Kim! And I love Pier One, too! Also, as my dad used to say..."even a broken clock is right twice a day!"

ReplyDeleteLove the clock Kim and don't you love when you aren't looking for something and BAM there it is, the best. Thanks for putting this song in my head all morning it is playing over and over as I type this, LOL

I love your clock,it is a wonderful size. If Mr. Savy is like most men they just care about two things, sports and eating. Chicago is a favorite of mine when it comes to old music and some of this stuff today i can't hardly bare, but i have grandchildren that listen to it,so!!
ReplyDeleteLove your clock! And for some reason I have a love affair with clocks along with my love affair with Lanterns. Sheila
ReplyDeleteGreat clock....and yes, that song will be stuck in my head all day!....and 6 'o'clock..??? .... How about 5 o'clock....you know the saying......Have a great day!...
ReplyDeleteI like the clock better than the dog painting. It works perfectly with the room as you have it now.
ReplyDeleteLove, love your new clock! Hate this time change!

Just change the clock to 5 pm and leave it. You know...it's 5 o'clock somewhere. LOL I always chose a clock from the anniversary gift catalog during my 31 years at Bank of America. Now my husband has to reset all those clocks. It's a pain, but I also love clocks.
ReplyDeleteThat's to funny!! My husband is the same way!
ReplyDeleteI love the clock!

Clocks are a perfect accessory in any room! I'm obsessed with them. On the wall, on the mantle, on the desk, on the side table. You get the picture.
ReplyDeleteYour new addition is fabulous!
ReplyDeletewhat's that old saying.... "it's 5:00 somewhere".." or in your case 6:00
ReplyDeleteLooks great. I haven't been to Pier One in ages.

Love the way the oversized clock looks in your dining room! It makes a nice, graphic focal point that balances well with the other items in the room.
ReplyDeleteI love Chicago and I love your new clock! My husband probably wouldn't notice it wasn't working either...

I love clocks too, my husband used to collect different kinds of wall clock! This find is a keeper for sure and I think goes well on that wall!
ReplyDeleteJoe notices most things that I change but it usually takes a few days:) I love that clock, and it looks great there!
ReplyDeleteI love your huge clock! I love clocks in general and have quite a few (as you know). That one makes a real statement too. I hated having to turn all of our clocks back this weekend though.
ReplyDeleteWell, I love the clock on your dining room wall! Great find!
ReplyDeleteLOL- They are ALL half-blind, Kim. Especially when they are used to things being changed around all the time. TIME--there--I said it! lol
ReplyDeleteThat hand might have just come "unseated". Try pushing it gently down right at the base onto the round part beneath it. That happens to my big clock everytime I go messing around with the little hand. It might be just that simple.
Can't wait to see what you are working on now. xo Diana
LOVE Chicago, so if a song is going to be stuck in my hand, I'm glad for it to be a Chicago tune!
ReplyDeleteThat huge clock is really cool. So glad you found it!
It looks perfect in your dining room - love the look and who can pass up such a deal...great find, Kim!
ReplyDeleteLove it Kim! I've alwys loved the large round wall clocks. I can relate to Mr. Savvy not noticing it. My husband does that all the time! It looks perfect in your dining room.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I just had to chuckle when you mentioned Chicago and "does anybody know what time it is?" Chicago had a very different sound than the norm in the late 60's. I was a junior in college when I bought their first album, played it and I could hear doors slamming all the way down the hall in my dorm! Thanks for bringing back a fun memory for me. I like the clock! Blessings, Janet (www.silverfoodie.com)
ReplyDeleteI have a sign by my antique clocks that says: Even a clock that doesn't work is right twice a day.
