Did y'all have a merry Christmas? We sure did. We enjoyed time together starting on the 23rd with my son and his family after they arrived in the afternoon. Then we went to my daughter's on Christmas eve for our annual Christmas eve dinner that we take turns hosting.
These are my four grands. Joshua 4, Rachele 7, Leila 5 and Naomi almost 6. They had so much fun together even thought it wasn't long enough.
On Christmas morning I made a big breakfast and then gifts were opened.
Reading time with G Dad.
Bailey hanging out in her favorite spot even though she is not supposed to be jumping up there. Going to have to rest her leg some more.

It was the typical let's see how fast we can rip these open.
Even miss Bailey tried to help.
Trying out the new toys.
Some how I missed getting pictures of Leila's mommy and daddy opening gifts.
After all the gifts were opened and the cousins played together for a bit my son and gang had to pack up and head back home to take care of their dogs so it was a short and sweet visit.
In the afternoon my mom, step dad and aunt who I haven't seen in fifteen to twenty years, that was being debated, came for a visit and we made home made tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. I had to document Mr. Savvy helping me mix up the soup. He does not cook and this may never happen again. :)
Now everyone is gone and the house is very quiet......Until next Christmas......
Your grandchildren are adorable, Kim : )
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb.
DeleteMiss Bailey, like Miss Abi, has a mind of her own.

Beautiful grandchildren! Hopefully noisy again before next Christmas - those grands need to be together more often!! We had a wonderful Christmas - so thankful to still have my dad, my sister and her hubby here close. My brother and his wife are only about 2 hours away - and all were here with us yesterday. I cherish the memories made!
ReplyDeleteYes, they will see each other before then. Probably about three times a year.
DeleteSuch a beautiful family, Kim! I think Miss Naomi looks a lot like you. :-) Lots of wonderful pictures for the family archives.
ReplyDeleteWow Kim the grands are so adorable. They all have such beautiful eyes. Glad you enjoyed your time with them and your family. Glad your Christmas was so sweet and nice.

Sounds like you guys had a wonderful Christmas! I think it's wonderful that the cousins are so close in age, and it's hard to believe that Leila is now 5! Mr. Savvy doesn't know it but he may be in charge of making tomato soup from now on!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great time was had by all!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous grand babies you have!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of your family! I see two grandchildren that really favor you, Kim. It always amazes me how much a room changes when you have people in it, it's like seeing it for the first time. I can see the scale of everything much better and you take them at angles you normally don't. I am taking down my Christmas today!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your beautiful family had a wonderful Christmas together--makes all that preparation for the big day worthwhile!
ReplyDeleteYour grandbabies are too cute. Looks like you all had a awesome Christmas.
ReplyDeleteprecious babies. i am so glad you were all together for christmas. Next time I want to see a picture of grandma with all her babies!
ReplyDeleteGreat times, Kim! I loved seeing all these great photos!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a wonderful Christmas! Love the idea of grilled cheese sandwiches and homemade tomato soup. I hope you will share your recipe for the soup!
ReplyDeleteThe grandkids are adorable! Sounds like a lovely Christmas. We always love tomato soup and grilled cheese.
ReplyDeleteI love your Blog! It's the first thing I read each morning. I have a house full of antiques (odd for someone in Tampa) and we have similar tastes! But you have taught this old dog a new trick or two over the past year or two. And it's because of you I received the most wonderful gifts this year! After 33 years of marriage I have a clear idea of what my Beantown Boy hears and doesn't and this was one thing I was willing to bet he didn't(my hints for wanting more Demijohns, Hungarian Dough Bowl) so you can imagine my surprise when I woke up Christmas morning. 3 huge beautiful Demijohns, a long Hungarian dough bowl, and 3 embossed Hungarian Seltzer bottles. Tarpon Springs Architectural Salvage had just brought a crate of wonderful treasures back from Budapest and we only live 20 minutes away. So thank you, thank you , thank you introducing me to these beautiful treasures. We're planning a treat to Budapest next year!!!
ReplyDeleteDana, that is so cool that you got some fabulous gifts. I am so glad I have given you some ideas for your decor and thanks for letting me know because I am feeling in a bit of a slump and what to share on the blog, but you may have hit a spark on a couple things.
DeleteYour grandchildren are beautiful!!! I know you enjoyed the short but sweet visit! You haven't seen your Mom in 20 years??? Where does she live? So glad you had all the family there!!! Thanks too for your blog and all the inspiration.
ReplyDeletePinky, I haven't seen my mom's sister, my mom lives here.
DeleteHappy holidays from snowy West Texas *)
