The master is the first room I made some changes in at the beginning of January. Mirrors have moved, a painting has been hung, and some new linens have been added.
The mirror that was over the bed now hangs over my dresser and is a nice size in this spot.
Here is the mirror over the bed in this photo taken in October.
This is the mirror that was over the dresser in this shot before I painted the dresser.
Remember this shot I shared in some peeks of upcoming posts?
I have never had a full length mirror in here so this one works for that on this wall. It was either hang it here or get rid of it since I am out of walls.

It's not a clear mirror, but at my age it is all I really need to see. wink
Oh, and see Bailey in the bathroom? This was taken before her surgery.

So what's on the wall over the bed in place of the mirror?
I'll share that soon, but if you can't wait you can probably see it in the reflection in the mirror on the wall if you're sneaky like that.
Have a fabulous weekend!

The dresser looks great painted. I have always loved that larger mirror.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Penny.
DeleteI have a crush on your bedroom. Every inch is sooo dreamy. I could never have enough nerve to paint a beautiful wood dresser like that but kiddos to you, it's magnificent! Yes, I'm sneaky and I scrolled back to see a glimpse of the painting above your bed. Now I'm itching to see the full view. Have a "Super" weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt took me forever to finally paint that dresser. It wasn't a fancy expensive dresser so I had no problem painting it. Thanks
DeleteThe dresser looks great Kim! Such a pretty master.

ReplyDeleteYes, Pinky, I gilded mine a couple years ago to lighten it up. Thanks
DeleteLove the mirror over the dresser...and I know how very heavy it is...Kudos to Mr. Savvy for moving it again for you!...and I do love that mirror as a "full length mirror"....really adds some great bling to the wall too!..and yes, I spy the painting over the bed...I am sneaky!!

DeleteI love the large geometric mirror...and wish I had one too. I know I would put mine in the hall. Yep, I understand about fuzzy views of myself. I need a mirror that trims pounds off. ha! Have a great weekend.. sheila
ReplyDeleteI believe the mirror is still available at homedecorators.com.
DeleteThat's pretty! I didn't even think to look in the reflection of the mirror to see what's over your bed. I spotted it!

The mirror is perfect above your GORGEOUS painted dresser! Kim your painted furniture is divine!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Yvonne!
DeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteCan you please explain how and what product you used to "gild" the large mirror to "lighten it up"? I have a dark metal headboard I want to lighten up- err- after I painted it dark last weekend! It WAS antique goldish and I thought I wanted it darker and now it's too dark! You mirror is perfect! Please advise how you did it!
Joanne, I used Rub N Buff in an antique gold and just rubbed it on with my finger.
DeleteI love the sparkle and light mirrors bring...the quatrefoil looks great over your dresser. How sweet is Bailey???!
