I hope y'all had a good Easter weekend. I was busy working on projects. I painted a piece of furniture on Thursday, painted a clock face on Friday and painted a room on Saturday. I was hoping to share something else today, but our house is getting prepped for a major installment this week and it looks like a bomb went off around here. I hate when things have to look worse before they get better. Anyway I had already taken these photos so I'll share them and spare y'all the mess.
Sometimes it's the simplest things that will make you smile.
That's what this centerpiece that I threw together does when I walk by it.
I have had my collection of blue bottles in this old grocery basket for some time, but the bottles were empty. Flowers was all it needed to perk it up.
I picked up a bunch of gerbera daisies at Whole Foods and just tucked them in some of the bottles.
And yes, I took the curtains down. I told y'all I want a bright and cleaner look.
Post mid life crisis, I guess!
Hopefully the sun will shine today so I can take some pics since it was dreary all weekend.
Have a great week!

You had a busy holiday weekend! Hope you were able to celebrate yesterday. We had a wonderful Easter - first with our church family, and then celebrated with my siblings, their spouses, my dad, and even took a friend from out-of-town along. Yummy food, good times with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteI have quite a collection of the green glass bottles myself.
Very pretty. And I really like your bread board collection on the wall. Sheila
ReplyDeleteLoving your vignette and your wall of bread boards looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove it....simply beautiful Kim!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy weekend! Hope your new installation goes well and you can get things settled down. Love the breadboard wall.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the old bottles on the table! I have some similar bottles that we found on our land, from my husband's grandparents. They add such character :)
ReplyDeleteThose flowers look so pretty and sunny in those bottles!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I like this style.
ReplyDeleteA simple but beautiful center piece! Sunny skies after a rainy Easter! Have a great week, Kim! Everyday Living
ReplyDeleteThat's a great farmhouse style centerpiece! I like the simplicity of it. The little daisies are the perfect addition.
ReplyDeleteLove the look Kim...nicely done!
ReplyDeleteSweet centerpiece! It was a dreary weekend in Birmingham, too. Sunshine today!
ReplyDeleteKim, I love it! I have a wire basket kind of like yours that I use on the kitchen table too. Something about it makes things look more important. :)
ReplyDeleteThose look adorable sitting on your french table:) Very spring-y! I remember you putting the bread boards on the wall, but somehow my brain must've missed the copper molds! That looks sharp!
ReplyDeleteMajor installment eh??? Oh geez...Miss Savvy is at it again:D LOL! Anxious to see this for sure!
Looks very pretty on your table. Love the light coming in!

Loves great!! I just took down my kitchen valances and some things off the wall and I love it. So I'm with you!
ReplyDeleteHI Kim, love the farmhouse feel here, and your table is amazing, I so want to find a plank table, something old if possible. I have to agree with your airy feel to removing the kitchen and opening it up? It does just that amazingly, you are allowing any day, and everyday visit you.
ReplyDeleteLove your style my dear.
Happy Spring arranging, doing away with, and repurposing.

ReplyDeleteWhere do you get your energy from? That was alot of painting in a short amount of time. I wish I had your energy!
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice refreshing look and easy to remove when you need to!
ReplyDeleteHow right you are about simple things. Often they are the most special.
