I shared my new coffee table last week in it's naked state and finally got around to styling it by just adding a few simple things.
I had to hunt down this basket, that I knew I had somewhere, and found it stored in a cabinet in the garage. This makes the perfect base for my vignette.
I filled the basket with a pretty glass hurricane, potted plant, a stack of books and some chunky wooden beads.
I have had this hurricane for years. I love the pretty etched flower design.
I love the patina and gray color of this terracotta pot and plants thrive in this light.
I found these wooden beads at the Pottery Barn outlet for just $7. I love them draped over books.
So Henry the table is not naked anymore.
I guess you noticed the new sofa in the photos? I am so in love even though the process was long and irritating. Here is a close up of the fabric.
I can't share a whole room reveal quite yet. I am waiting on a chair to arrive by the eighteenth or sooner and a lighter rug should come this week.
I'm having so much fun trying out different pillows. With the red gone the possibilities are endless. I have shared two looks on instagram.

Happy that you are having fun styling your new table...love it...and love the new sofa. So glad that you were able to sell the old one so quickly!
ReplyDeleteMe, too!
DeleteIt looks fabulous, I thought I would miss the red but this is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMary
Thanks, Mary. I already don't miss the red.
DeleteThe word "vignette" always cracks me up. Glad you are enjoying the new sofa. Love my neutrals. I have 3 or 4 different pillow combos and fabric samples (for more pillows LOL) laid out on my sofa right now, trying to decide on what to change to. The bosporus (sp?) pillow is one of them!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tina. Yes, fun playing with pillow combos.
DeleteThough I would miss the red because it is my favorite color. However, I don't. Where did you find that nice basket?
ReplyDeleteIt's from the Pottery Barn outlet a couple years ago. Thanks
DeleteLooks great Kim and yippee for selling the old sofa. It's nice when that happens and you can get it out of your space. I'm loving my neutral tones too....over the red for a while.
ReplyDeleteYes, Dawn, so glad that sold. We were ready to consign it and then someone on instagram asked about it and then it was sold and picked up.
DeleteThe table looks perfect and I love the sofa fabric!! Anyone want to buy my red sofa? lol!
ReplyDeleteSusan, it appears to be pretty easy to sell a red sofa. Didn't think it would be.
DeleteJust perfect! So great that you were able to sell your old sofa so quickly too! Can't wait to see your new chair and rug :o)
ReplyDelete~Des
Des, I can't wait either. Rug should be here tomorrow and chair soon.
DeleteThe basket is perfect and the hurricane is so pretty. Lookin' good Henry!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melanie.

DeleteLove "Henry".....and I had to giggle to myself because I do the same thing, when I have a MOMENT where I want to change things up I say to myself I have ....... but where did I put it and the hunt begins.... we with creative minds are like that LOLOLOL. Looking forward to seeing the "new" room all together! Loving your blog..... Blessings from RAINY, as in we got 9 inches of rain this past weekend, French Gulch CA.... Curtis & Sherrie.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Curtis and Sherrie.
DeleteYippee Skippee, the sofa looks beautiful and it sounds as though your patience paid off. Glad you sold your other sofa so quickly, can't wait to see the reveal.
ReplyDeleteThanks, sjr.
DeleteSo happy you have your Hyde! I do love mine and I hope you find it was worth the aggravation. The pillow quest should be interesting!
ReplyDeleteOh, you have it, too? Yes, I do love it and my mom has one, too so I knew I would.
DeleteYour new table and sofa look great, the basket looks great too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Thanks, Pamela.
DeletePretty fabric on couch! How do you determine a price when you sell a piece of furniture? I have a 35 years old Century armoire, triple dresser/mirror and 2 night stands - I have no idea what to ask. Thanks!
ReplyDeletePatti, I have no idea. I have never sold a piece before. I just knew this sofa was extremely expensive when we purchased it and was in mint condition since we really didn't use it except when guests were here. I just came up with a price that I thought was reasonable.
DeleteGreat vignette! And, I'm loving the sofa fabric!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carolyn.
DeleteThat is awesome that you sold the sofa!! Love the new coffee table and how you have styled it. I have a similiar hurricane but it doesn't have that pretty etching:( The sofa looks gorgeous! Can't wait to see the whole room!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pinky.
DeleteLove the vignette! Baskets are so great to use on coffee tables.
ReplyDeleteShelley
Thanks, Shelley. Yes, love using baskets and trays.
DeleteOh I do like that flat handled basket and it is perfect on the new table! I like the neutral colored fabric you chose for the sofa. Can't wait to see it in its entirety. I remember when I got a whole new room of furniture and everything came in nicely except for the coffee and end tables. I didn't think they'd ever come and I couldn't enjoy the room until they did. I hadn't thought about it until you mentioned the chair you're waiting for. It'll be worth the wait I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteLiz, the rug and chair will be in very soon. Thanks
DeleteLove your vignette! So pretty! The couch looks so beautiful, I cannot wait to see it in its full glory on reveal day!! Very exciting!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait either. Thanks
DeleteKim, the coffee table is fabulous and I am so glad you finally got your sofa! Pam @ Everyday Living
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam.
DeleteLove your new coffee table and such a pretty vignette too. The sofa fabric is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marty.
DeleteYAY, the sofa has finally arrived ... love it already! And, I know you're having fun playing with pillows on it! Great new vignette, too!
ReplyDeleteI just saw Henry on your previous post, those legs are divine! The vignette you create is spot on, love the basket. So many new things going on in this room! Can't wait for reveal time!
ReplyDeleteAnxious to see the final result in this room:)
