Today starts a fun fall tour this week with my fellow bHome bloggers so be sure to read to the end of the post for the other bloggers' links.
In most of my house I have a more casual elegance style, but in my sunroom I like to have fun sometimes and fill it with cute and whimsical things. This is also the room I spend most of my time in and where I write this blog so come on in.
It's apple picking season so I have added some apples to my vintage apple picking bucket just for fun. Soon I will make something with the apples before they go bad.
Of course I had to have this cute pillow for apple season. The talented Lucy of Craftberry Bush created the artwork
This is the first time having this room in blue in the fall. My plaid pillows from my stash are perfect to bring in color and texture and plaid is perfect this time of year or actually anytime of year.
Mr. Savvy and I went on a drive up to the north Georgia mountains last week to get some pumpkins at Burt's Farm. The yellow colored pumpkins are ghost pumpkins and the little white ones are boo's. The ghost pumpkins are only $2 each and the boo's are $1 each. Best prices I've found. I chose mine for the best stems.
I like to bring out my squirrels this time of year even though I wish the real ones would leave our house alone.
Stripes and plaid....the perfect combo.
Chairs are covered with vintage grain sacks and more striped pillows.
This is my huge white pumpkin I chose for that fabulous stem.
A chunky cotton throw is ready for those chilly nights. It is actually starting to feel like fall this week.
I like to change out the art on top of this chest and I have had this apple painting for years.
Bailey waited patiently for me to finish shooting pic so she could have her spot back.
You can tour last year's fall sunroom here.

Thank you!
DeleteThanks!
DeleteYour place is always one of my absolute favorites friend!
ReplyDeleteAwe, thanks, Janet!
DeleteYour squirrel bowl with acorns made me smile. I really like the way you don't feel obligated to put everything out at once, and how you turn to what's in reserve to change the feel of a room--so much nicer than buying a bunch of new stuff and better edited than trying to keep everything on display at once. Each item gets its turn to shine.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, I have quite the stash to pull from, but I can't help, but buy some new, too. I have quite a problem with pillows! They just call my name!!
DeletePinned and done! I like the fall version of your room. My kids always tease me about rearranging our living room every few weeks. I bet you keep your husband on his toes with your room updates!! Your creativity is more fun that watching the decorating/ diy shows on tv!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan and yes, I do keep him on his toes, but he is so used to it. I think if things didn't change he would wonder if something was wrong with me. :)

ReplyDeleteYour house is gorgeous and has given me some decorating inspiration!

Beautiful room! Where did you find the small curtain rods? I've been looking for them everywhere!
ReplyDeleteThose are from Lowes. It just the shortest length. Thanks
DeleteI was just going to ask about the curtain rods, If you have a large window like I do in my master and you are going to hang dummy panels on each side- can I use two of these shorter rods or just go with the long one across the whole width of the window even if I'm not planning on pulling the panels closed over the window?
DeleteKay, I'm not a professional decorator and I know some think the rod should go all the way across, but I think for dummy panels like mine either way is fine.
DeleteYour home is beautifully decorated. That ceramic squirrel had me instantly! I caught a real one in our geranium and he looked at me like I was annoying him! lol Happy Fall, Kim! Enjoy the season. Pinning!
