If you have been reading my blog for any length of time then I'm sure you have noticed that I love to make a pretty bed and I change them often because I love the creating part and then seeing how my ideas work. To add a touch of fall in this guestroom at first all I had done was to add a pumpkin. Well, a pumpkin just isn't enough. One day while shopping at HomeGoods for something else I came across this set of plaid sheets by Ralph Lauren and knew they would be cute for a fall bed. I had intended for them to be used in the other guest room, but liked them better in this room. Plaid can be used anytime of year, but something about cooler weather and plaid goes together a bit better.
HomeGoods is such a great place for good sheet sets and this is not a sponsored post. The Ralph Lauren sheet sets are usually nice and the sheets get softer each time you wash them.
Most of my other sheets are from Pottery Barn that I buy those at the outlet or on sale. I bought the blue pillows a couple of months ago at Pottery Barn deeply discounted.
This is the lonely pumpkin I set up here after we went to the pumpkin farm.
It's all about the stem.
I added my velvet pumpkins from the LoveFeast shop that I was given last year.
If we have guests or Miss Leila over to spend the night there is a quilt if it gets chilly.
If more cover is needed the duvet is ready in this basket.
I replaced the white lamps that were in here with these that were in the other guest room and added the blue ticking shades. The lamps in the other guestroom have been replaced with new ones I bought a couple of months ago.
Happy Thursday!
Don't forget the Harvest Tour that I shared my deck in on Monday. There is a new group of bloggers sharing each day and I'm keeping the list updated here.
Very welcoming. I love the blue and white. And that's one impressive stem!

ReplyDeleteBlue Fall perfection!
ReplyDeleteYour love of blue and white inspired me to do my guestroom in blue and white. I am interested where you found ticking lampshades.
ReplyDeleteThey are old and were bought at the Pottery Barn outlet. Thanks

Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteYour room looks great, and I really like the bedding you put together! They all turn out so fun and comfortable looking.
May I ask if your wall paint is flat and if you painted the chair rail the same color? It looks very pretty. If I remember correctly it's French Canvas by Benjamin Moore?
Thank you,
Mary

Love so much about this post… the pumpkins… love the duvet in the basket! … the wooden beads… Beautiful room.
ReplyDeleteLove this space Kim. The blue and white are perfect!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And I agree with you...HomeGoods (and TJ Maxx) are my go-to places for sheets. I am spoiled by their prices for high quality. When I shop at other stores I am shocked at home expensive a good pair of sheets can cost in comparison.
ReplyDeleteThat little sheep needs to come live at my house! I drool every time he pops up:)
ReplyDeleteKim, your Fall guest room looks beautiful! What a lovely, cozy, and restful looking room. I love all of the blue!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful guest room; guests won't ever leave! Love those wooden beads! Where can I find them!
ReplyDeleteThat big, white pumpkin with the reaching-out stem (spooky!) is fantastic, Kim! I've seen so many unusually-colored pumpkins this Fall in all the blogs I read I'm thinking of growing heirloom pumpkins next summer! In fact, I did send away for some Baby Boo seeds.
ReplyDeleteYour guest room is very inviting. I know I would be quite cozy there! I especially like the blue and white and cream color scheme.
