I hope y'all have had a fabulous week. We are still enjoying spring temps here and I noticed while I was out running errands that the forsythia is starting to bloom. Mr. Savvy said February or March will probably be the coldest on record because that's the way the weather rolls around here.....crazy!
Today I'm sharing a couple of shots of what I bought on my first antique mall visit this year.
Meet my new cow creamer. I have a few in my collection and when I spotted this one it had to become part of it, too.
I'm not real sure what a good price is for one of these, but it was only $24 which I thought was fair. While I was at Scott's Antique Market I spotted a little brown and white cow creamer and it had a lid. I failed to get a picture since the vendor walked up. I asked him the price. When he said $150 I about choked. Apparently because it had a lid the price was high. I'm not sure they normally come with lids. Does anyone know?
I did a search and found this sterling silver one with a lid on 1st Dibs. It can be yours for $2600! Yep, I'll pass on that one. You can have it!!
Here is another one from 1st Dibs and it's only $2160 + $168 tax + $249 shipping...y'all can have that one, too. It is cute though with the guy milking.
Have a fabulous weekend and be sure to check out my friends below.
Kim, I love the cow creamer and what a perfect addition to your collection. I definitely would have paid $24 for it! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the forsythia are trying to bloom, but we are having 55 degree temps here in Michigan today. Crazy weather for sure.
ReplyDeleteGood Lord, I choked when you told the prices of the creamers from First Dibs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW can they justify $249.00 shipping????? Must be nice to have that kind of $$$:):) I LOVE your new creamer, it is so pretty and you know I LOVE anything blue and white! It is another, gray, rainy, dreary day here but I am going to a babay shower so that will cheer me up!
ReplyDeleteI would have bought that creamer just because it has my name on it!
ReplyDeleteLove the blue and white creamer!
ReplyDeleteCute cow! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your new piece. And, holy cow (pun intended) $2600? That's crazy. I prefer yours. I really hope things don't start to bloom this early. Makes for a not so pretty spring.
ReplyDeleteWarm here too. Typical winter weather in East TN with ups and downs. We are having rain though, which is good as we have been in a drought. Bought my first vintage find of the year this week also - a pair of old corbels.
ReplyDeleteLove that creamer!!!...Wow, those with the lids are truly expensive...Lids are truly the first things to get broken...and I hope Mr. Savvy is incorrect, but most likely no...not looking forward to the deep freezes in Feb and March...Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletethis weather is cra cra. i am waiting for the bottom to fall out! happy weekend. still in my pj's.
ReplyDeleteLove your creamer. The blue and white are so pretty. Weather here in Chicago is spring like. Loving it. Lots of sun too. Have a great weekend.

Love the cow you bought! Much nicer than those pricey ones!
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable, all the more so because it's blue and white!
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I have the same in a calico blue, actually had one and picked up another at a garage sale because it was such a great price. I'd say you got a good buy at $24.
ReplyDeleteFun when we find little treasures at great prices. The two pricey ones are attractive, but outrageously expensive. Makes one wonder why, especially the last one that has tax and shipping. Where is it shipping from at a cost of $249? Crazy!!!!
Love your new creamer! And some people have more money than sense if they pay $2000 for a creamer! Wow!
ReplyDeleteYour new cow creamer is beautiful! what a perfect addition to your collection and at a great price too!! I can't believe there is people out there that pay thousands of dollars for a creamer!!
ReplyDeleteThe creamer is an adorable find... I had no idea some had lids.
