Little changes were made in the front guestroom after taking out the Christmas decorations and of course pillows were the main change. The pillows that are now in this guest room were in the other guest room last year which you can see here.
The great part about keeping the colors the same from one room to the next is being able to swap things from one room to the other. It's the easy way to make a room feel fresh without spending a dime. That's what I did in this guestroom.
The blue patterned Euro shams were a bargain find from the Pottery Barn outlet and I only paid 99 cents for them last year.
I used a different mix of pillows in this room than what I did in the other guest room.
The lamps and ticking lampshades were also used in the other room, but work perfectly in here.
The little praying boy stays on the nightstand. He's been there a long time.
The tufted bench has moved once again from the dining room to the guest room. Yes, moving things around all the time.
When I shared this room decorated for Christmas I mentioned there was something new in here and no one mentioned what that was. I really thought someone would have noticed.
New blue checked drapes!
Here is a reminder of what the other panels looked like. They just didn't quite work right with my decor. Sometimes mistakes are made. That's okay they went to a good home.
Have you tried moving accessories from one room to another for a fresh look?
I hope y'all have an awesome week!
Kim, you are the master of moving pillows and accessories from one room to another to get a fresh new look. I do love the blue check panels...Have a wonderful Monday!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue check drapes. Can you give us a hint as to where you found them?
ReplyDeleteCountry curtains. Thanks
DeleteLove the blues. The checked drapes are perfection!
ReplyDeleteI thought those drapes had changed, but you are the quick change artist and I thought, hmmm, were they there before? .... I liked the others for a bit of whimsy in the room and the check for that tried and true look! The room looks great as always!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty room and all the blues are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty! I am always amazed with how fresh it feels to move items in my home. I just moved a reclining modern chair from my son's room into the family room just last night! I love it!! Cost me nothing! (Well except a bit of complaining by the moving crew, lol)

ReplyDeleteI flip-flopped two rooms this past weekend and pulled a chair from a third one. I love to do that. Hubby says he feels like he wakes up in a different house all the time because he never knows what I am going to do. lol
ReplyDeleteLove the blue and white and you should be arrested for STEALING THOSE SHAMS for 99¢ each. Crazy!!!
Hope you have a great week-xo Diana
ps..love the curtains..they are very fresh looking....
The blue checked drapes are great! Just today, I finally found and hung curtains in one guest room and mixed the bedding from the other guest room with what was already in there. Now I have to figure out what to do for bedding in the room I 'robbed" ! I wish we had some good outlets around us...you always get great finds!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the cutest pillows.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a pretty room and those pillow cases were an absolute steal, who could resist them at that price, plus they look so good!
ReplyDeleteStill in love with the ticking lampshades. The whole room looks pefect.
