If you follow me on instagram then you saw that I went to another flea market last Sunday and bought some new sconces with a little added bling. I'm not usually one who decorates with bling, but I have been on the hunt for a new pair of French sconces and fell in love with these from my favorite booth at the Lakewood 400 Market, for any of you in the metro Atlanta area.
When you walk in the entrance Ida's booth is straight ahead and it is filled with everything I love and collect. It is always set up so pretty and full of eye candy.
This is a picture I took last time I visited.
I knew as soon as I spied these beautiful bronze sconces that they would be perfect and could be used in several places. After Mr. Savvy hung them I tried some old candles in them to see how they looked with the flames reflecting in the mirror. They have some missing baubles, but that doesn't bother me at all. They are perfectly imperfect.
This is my view from the kitchen sink in the morning with the sun streaming in the foyer.

I decided to replace the sconces that were here with this pair and hang them next to the mirror that also came from the same booth last year. See, I told you she sells pretty things. The sconces that were here before moved back to the breakfast room where they have hung in the past. Many things in my home move full circle.
There might just be something else here that came home with me, too and I will share info about that soon.

The sconces are stunning and perfect for your fireplace.
ReplyDeleteThe round reflector on the sconces are the perfect foil for angles of the mirror.
ReplyDeleteThe French word for the crystals is delightful: pampilles. To me, it sounds as crystalline perfect as the meaning. You might be able to find extras online. I bought one at a flea market to turn into a necklace pendant. But imperfect can be perfect, too!
I love the way they look next to that mirror. Very pretty!
