Before spring officially gets here and I start changing things up again for the warmer weather, even though we barely had a winter, I thought I better share how the master bedroom has looked since the first of the year.
This is the bed I love to sink into at the end of a long day. Especially after painting all day and my body is aching.
After moving the cow picture in here before Christmas I was really enjoying it in our bedroom so it has stayed. I pulled from the colors in the art to add those colors in the room. There is some pale blue on Mango's body so the blue linen shams pull that out.

The only pillow that is new is the African mud cloth pillow I ordered from Etsy awhile back.
This is a new tufted bench made by the same company as the tufted host and hostess chairs in the dining room. This is a dining bench, but I'm using it at the foot of the bed. Of course it may show up in the dining room, too sometime. 😉
This is where the sage green French style chair ended up when I swapped chairs in the great room. I'm glad things can move from room to room and work out.
My favorite little crewel work pillow has moved from room to room and works well in here pulling all the colors in the room together.
This throw is needed on the cooler days.
The quilt on the bed, as much as I love it, is pretty heavy so I would like to lighten up with something else when it gets really warm out and I'm leaning towards white bedding this year.
We shall see.
Have an awesome day!

I absolutely adore that white quilt. They call it a "boutis," pronounced boo-TEE. Sometimes you can find a thin version that has the same look without the quilting (also often called a boutis).
ReplyDeleteI also love your dust ruffle. Burlap? It's just perfect.
The bed skirt is raw silk. The quilt isn't white, but more of an ivory with a yellow cast to it. My photos make it look whiter than it is. Thanks
DeleteRAW SILK!!! Kind of the opposite of burlap!!!
DeleteKim, where did you get the bed skirt? I love it!
DeleteWe've barely had a winter even in New Jersey! Strange year... Your bed looks so cozy with all those wonderful layers. Love the bench!
ReplyDeleteShelley
Would you mind sharing the company name of the tufted bench and dining room host chairs, please?
ReplyDeleteCarol, they are by Orient Express Furniture. I bought the chairs from Wayfair and the bench from Houzz.
DeleteYour bed looks so Pretty! Would you mind sharing which one from Wayfair? I would really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Becky
Becky, the tufted chairs in the dining room are from Wayfair. Thanks
DeleteThanks Kim, but I was referring to your headboard??
DeleteSorry answering incorrectly. It's from wayfair a few years ago.
Deleteso pretty! love all the cozy layers
ReplyDeleteSo, so beautiful...love the bench at the end of the bed and the chair looks amazing in the room too...such a beautiful place to begin and end the day in!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so much texture. And I absolutely love the quilt! I think it is my favorite of all your change ups in your master!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so calm and beautiful Kim. I love the blue ruffled shams.
ReplyDeleteKim, I am loving all the textures! A gorgeous bedroom to retreat to at the end of the day when your body is worn out from painting!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty and I love that bedspread, it is amazing.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! And can you share your source for your bed skirt? It is stunning!
ReplyDeleteSoft Surroundings. Thanks
DeleteI am on luv with that bedspread and bed skirt!!!! The room looks amazing as always Kim. Soothing colour palette.
ReplyDeleteI love the new color palette! I've been on the hunt for a headboard like yours. Can you tell me where you got it?
ReplyDeleteThat is from homedecorators.com several years ago.
DeleteWhat a haven!
ReplyDeleteCan you share where you purchased the raw silk dust ruffle? I just love it!
Soft Surroundings. Thanks
DeleteKim, would you mind sharing where you purchased your dust ruffle?
ReplyDeleteSoft Surroundings.
DeleteKim, the room looks fabulous. Reading through all of your comments I think you may need a source list at the end of the post to make it easier on yourself!
ReplyDeleteI am loving the little floor lamp you have beside your chair. Would you please share where you purchased it. I am needing one in my bedroom. Thank you
ReplyDeleteIt's an old Restoration Hardware lamp that I bought at the outlet. Thanks
DeleteI love everything about this room, it looks so relaxing and inviting and just the right mix of girliness without being to overdone, so it is perfect for one's husband too, always a major consideration.
ReplyDeleteWe are just beginning a redo of our master bedroom. I have two questions if you don't mind. Is the bed king size? What is the size of your bedroom? Ours is quite small as a physical limitation has made is necessary to move from our huge MBR upstairs to one that is 11X11 downstairs. I'm hoping a neutral color scheme with lots of texture will make it seem larger. It does have french doors onto a deck so we're trying to find all the positives! Thanks so much! Lila
ReplyDeleteLila, yes, the bed is a king size and the room is around 15 x 18 or so.
DeleteKim, lovely as usual. Looks very inviting and cozy!😴
ReplyDeletePlease share where you got the table lamps. Thank You!
ReplyDeletePottery barn.
DeletePretty...I like the touches of black in the pillows. Cute with Mango...who I had to buy :) He's hanging out in the kitchen here in Colorado, looking out over the mountains.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am glad you bought him, too!
DeleteI love the soft color palette of your bedroom and of course your cow painting - I am also a sucker for cow paintings!
ReplyDeleteOhh that bed is lucious...I just want to run from the door and jump on it...then stay under the covers.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! Beautiful bedroom - love it all especially the bed coverings! I read through all the comments to make sure someone hadn't already asked - what it the wall color?
ReplyDeleteCelia
Hi Celia, the wall color is Alexandria Beige by Benjamin Moore. You can find all my homes colors on my side bar. Thanks
DeleteI love your bedroom. It's soft, textured and so very welcoming.
ReplyDeleteOh Kim this room is lovely. May I ask where you bought the quilt? I did not see anyone else ask. Its beautiful!Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteIt's from soft surroundings. Thanks
DeleteYour room looks so comfy for the winter months. I like that little reading nook you have there.
ReplyDeleteYour Bedroom is so cozy looking ,love the quilt and the whole room.
ReplyDeleteThat bed looks pretty and pretty inviting! I'd have trouble not spending the whole day in that room! And I like the cow painting, too. Mostly, though, I love the chairs. They are so lovely and look comfortable, as well. Nice job of decorating, Kim!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful Kim. Love watching your bedroom evolve.
ReplyDeleteFresh, Clean, Inviting, Never tire of "The Neutrals"!
ReplyDeleteI love your home. This room is gorgeous. I hate to ask you but, can you tell me what color that bedskirt is? Is it the ivory or the natural? Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteIt is the natural. I just removed that bed skirt because it tears very easily and it ad three big holes in it on the other side of the bed.
DeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteWhere did you buy Mango? I have a spot above my loveseat, I think it would look perfect!Thank you for sharing your pics.
It's from Ballard's.
DeleteKim, It would be fun to be a blogger except I wonder if it would bother me if so many people were buying homewares just like mine! LOL But then again, I guess maybe that's the whole point and you know what they say, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."
ReplyDeleteThe room is so nice. Love all the neutrals. I'm just finishing my guest bedroom in whites and blues Cow picture and all, not Mango but a head version same color palette with blue hues. I love your ruffled blue shams and wondering where you purchased them? Thank you for sharing Lynn
ReplyDeleteThose are from an etsy shop years ago. Thanks
DeleteThank You. I'll do some browsing!
