Spring glorious spring, my favorite season. It's the season of new growth and temps cool enough in the south to enjoy being out. It's getting back to working in the yard and getting my hands dirty again. The best part is when our yard gets green again.
It's also the time to put away the heavy quilts, throws, and heavy looking pillows and bring out the bright and light colors. Today it's all about adding spring blues, yellows and whites in the French style guestroom.
Spring still has chilly nights so an extra quilt might be needed.
When it's too warm it can be put away. I like the look either way. I found this blue toile quilt a couple of months ago on One Kings Lane.
I just received this vintage indigo striped pillow I found while perusing instagram.

There's nothing like flowers to welcome spring.
This table took place of the nightstand that moved to the bonus room guest area.
I picked up this chair in an antique mall in January and never shared it with y'all.
Across from the bed is the hutch that I shared last week.
Extra pillows in a vintage French basket.
Early morning light coming in.
The sunshine just adds to how pretty this room is.
ReplyDeleteI love the wavy glass on the hutch. It's a beautiful piece.
I love how the sun shines in here. LOVE all the blues too. Happy Spring!!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Is that a leather topped table you're using as a nightstand? I've got one in mahogony, and it's been annoying me for years ... I'm so painting it! Thanks for the inspiration! Cynthia
ReplyDeleteYes, it is and I painted it the first time years ago. It was in poor shape when I bought it so I knew I would be painting it.

So, so pretty Kim! I love the blue striped lampshades and am inspired to find something similar!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are so clean and welcoming. I just live navy and white. Well done. Could you share the paint color on the walls? Also, I have just purchased a french country styled home and need a good neutral for the large family room area with dark floors and drark beams. Do you have a suggestion? I want to try and stay authentic old European.
ReplyDeleteThis room is French Canvas by Benjamin Moore and all my colors are on my side bar where it says My Home Paint Colors. Thanks
