It's summer, it's hot and sticky and life is slower. I am just beginning to share how I have added summer in the house this year and I will be sharing the sunroom next week. Before I share how it looks now I am sharing last year's look again since a lot has changed since then.
Enjoy 😊
Summer Sunroom 2016
I love to change up my rooms seasonally with just a few simple accessory changes like switching out pillows and bringing in things that speak summer like shells, coral and hydrangeas. This year the room is dressed in blue and white which makes it feel cool on these sultry days. The best thing I did a few months ago was to paint the walls in Dove White by Benjamin Moore to really brighten this room up.
I'm not going to say much and just let the photos do the talking.
I'm not going to say much and just let the photos do the talking.
I painted it with Miss Mustard Seed milk paint in Artissimo.
In a few short days I'll share this year's sunroom so stay tuned.
Loved the way the sunroom looked last summer....anxious to see what you did this year...always such a treat to see the sunroom all dressed for each season! Wishing you a great day!
ReplyDeleteLove the bowl filled with beautiful coral.
ReplyDeleteI love this room and all the many looks and styles throughout the time I have followed your blog. My favorite posts are the ones titled "Sunroom"!!!
ReplyDeleteYou styled it beautifully last summer. I love every detail! Can't wait to see how you styled it for this year!
ReplyDeleteYou work your magic in any season.
ReplyDeleteSt. Simons, my favorite place on earth! Can't wait to see what has changed, it looks great here!
ReplyDeleteLove what you did the sunroom. Dove White is one of my favorite whites. I may have missed it somewhere on your blog, but what brand is your white sofa. I am in love with it.
ReplyDeleteMaria, it's a Pottery Barn Basic slipcovered sofa that I have had for over 15 years. thanks
DeleteLOVE that bench in blue!
ReplyDeleteI love last year's summer look and I am sure this year's will be fabulous!
ReplyDeleteIt feels so fresh and summery and looks fantastic, I am not sure you can possibly make it any better, but they say a change is as good as a rest! So can't wait to see what you do.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue and white, so summery and I love the painting with the cottage and lighthouse! How lucky you were to live there!
ReplyDeleteI'm confused, in the picture with the two windows that are covered with bamboo shades, you have the window to the side that has a curtain with a rod that looks like it only covers half of the window. Is it just the way the picture was taken or is there a reason for that??? The room is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe curtains are only hanging in the two corners and are only for softening the wall. They are not used. The shades are only on the three windows on the side that the sun pours in all afternoon. I had to block it or burn up.
DeleteAlways beautiful. One of my favorite spaces.
ReplyDeleteYour sunroom is always beautiful no matter what you do. Can't wait to see this summer's look!
