I almost forgot to show y'all a change in the bonus room guest bedroom that we made a few weeks ago. I decided to swap out the old painted sleigh bed with the upholstered headboard from the front blue and white guest bedroom. After getting the new metal bed for the front guestroom we had placed the upholstered headboard in the hallway. I was going to get rid of it and then decided to get rid of the painted sleigh bed instead and use this one. I hope all that makes sense. 😏
This was an easy switch and we gave the sleigh bed to a family member.
By not having the foot board there is more room.
I brought back out this old pillow cover.
Sometimes swapping beds just makes sense.
Have an awesome week!
Love the bed skirt. Can you share the source?
ReplyDeletePatty, that is several years old and was purchased from One Kings Lane.
DeleteYou swap like no other! Love the change!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. I love how this all came together.
ReplyDeletePretty and peaceful. I have the same style sleigh bed in my guest room. It is a queen. We are hoping down the road to get a king size for the quest room, and when we do, we will not get a sleigh bed again. They do take up a lot of room.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I so wish I had our bonus room back to decorate:) It is filled with trains now. But I knew that was going to happen:) Love the swap!!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know you had a sleigh bed LOL!
ReplyDeleteYour swapping around always works beautifully!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Kim!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I followed all the swapping, but the finished room looks fabulous, so whatever you did, worked. Beautifully. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the headboard. The bed looks lovely and welcoming. Do mind telling me where you purchased it? We bought a similar style on line and had to return it due to the chemical smell. I hesitate purchasing another one.....
ReplyDeleteI got that a few years ago at homedecoratirs.com which is now run by Home Depot.
DeleteWhere is your duvet cover Tom?
ReplyDeletePottery Barn.
DeleteFrom (not Tom) oops
ReplyDeleteThat is just beautiful! Love the entirely swap. Can you proved the source for the quilt with the grey toned emblem, please?
ReplyDeleteThe duvet cover? That is from Pottery Barn.
DeleteYou are the queen of bedscaping! I always love your combinations! I wish you could come and play at my house! I have tons of pillows and bedding but I struggle putting it all together!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. I love the bird prints. The cow painting is a darling too.
ReplyDeleteSmart move, it opens the space at the end of the bed. Totally in love with the bird prints.
ReplyDeleteWhat is a bonus room?
ReplyDeleteIt is a space over the garage that some people finish and some leave unfinished. There is no closet so it's not considered a bedroom. We turned ours in to an extra guestroom and the other side has work out equipment.
Deletehehe that's one of the things I love about you! You swap stuff like no one else. Everything ends up with a brand new and perfect look! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the cow pic! I have the same one in my sitting room - from Antique Farmhouse. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks so peaceful! A question...not being a smarty pants...is the headboard higher than the bed a new look? I am older and trying to stay “in the know.” For example, when we recently put up wainscoting we found out that a new acceptable height was 4’ and not the standard 3’. I love how decorating can be “new” and fluid.
