The master bath is actually starting to look like a bathroom these days. I think I can see the light at the end of the long tunnel. This project has taken longer than any remodel we have ever done in this house. I'm sure it's due to the fact that it was basically a total gut job and it is taken forever to put it back together. Here are a few photos of where we are now.
The carpenters finished up last week and the painting has begun. It's hard to see, but the back of the built in is bead board.
The stain glass window was finally replaced with this new window. It's not a working window, but made to look like one. So much light can pour in here now.
The bathtub is sitting in the shower. It's a tub in a shower. 😆
I can't wait to get the tub out of the box and in it's spot.
Lots of heavy molding the same as the kitchen remodel.

This is the sun coming in at the end of the day. I'm loving all the molding.
Mr. Savvy and I are doing the painting since he told the painters not to come after they were running late.
Yep, and I'm not happy about it.

Thank goodness we are almost done.
The template for the quartz counters will be done on Thursday and they will return the following Thursday to install the counters. Then the tile guy will come that weekend to finish the tile and the plumber will need to come do his part of installing all the faucets and the toilet.
We are getting there!
It's great! Such style and well thought out design! May I ask your paint colors?
ReplyDeleteWhite Dove for the walls and Chantilly Lace on the trim. Cabinets are custom and all paint by Benjamin Moore. Thanks

Lovely! The trim paint looks professional so maybe Mr. Savvy was smart to fire the painters and let you do it.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've been painting for many many years, but it would be nice to watch someone else do it for once. When I hire someone to paint my great room and foyer he will not fire them!
DeleteBeautiful job. I love the molding (moulding for our UK friends). You did a great job designing the room and I can't wait to see it finished with the final touches added.
