Last month I shared my new host and hostess chairs for the dining room as the tufted ones I had there before took up too much room and there was no space behind them. I know everyone preferred the tufted ones, as did I, but they were impractical. So after getting the new chairs I had to find new spaces for the tufted chairs and really the only spots I had was in the guest bedrooms. I love how they look in those rooms, too.
Of course placing them in the guest bedrooms meant the chairs I had there had to go somewhere. It's the never ending cycle. Well, the smaller tufted chair that was here went to a family member and the one in the other room moved to the bonus room.
I love the way this one looks in the other guest bedroom, too.
A small vintage French ticking pillow, one of my favorites, fits perfectly.
Ticking and tufting. Two of my favorites together.
So I have chairs that are more practical for the dining room and I found the perfect spaces for the tufted chairs. Since the same colors run throughout my home it is easy to move things from room to room.

It's almost the weekend!

They do look great in the guest rooms and give your guests a comfortable place to sit and relax.

I love all the changes you are making in your home. Your master bath is looking beautiful! The small blue pillow is one i could use in my home, can you share where you bought it? Thanks. Your tease on fall bedding is going to be gorgeous. You are my morning coffee drinking best blog!
ReplyDeletePeggy, you are too sweet! I'm afraid I have had those pillows for several years and not really sure where I bought them. I think from One Kings Lane. Thanks
DeleteThanks, I'll check it out.
DeleteThey look perfect in their new spots. You make a great case for having a coherent color palette throughout the home.
ReplyDeleteI love those chairs, Kim! They look great everywhere you put them... :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are great looking chairs and look fabulous wherever they land!
ReplyDeletefabulous
ReplyDeleteThose chairs are so perfect they could stand on their own in any room. I love the material, the shape, the tufting- it's the whole package. Hope you have a great weekend. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love those chairs in the guest rooms. Look very comfy as well as pretty. I consider you the queen of bed linens and I have a question about comforters. I heard one time that it is good to go one size up in duvet inserts. Example: use a double bed insert in a twin duvet because it will look more full. Do you do this? And do you recommend purchasing high quality inserts, since they are available at several price points? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barbara. No, I don't go up a size with the duvet inserts. I do sometimes with throw pillows. Inserts are already expensive enough and hard to insert without going up a size. I have bought mine from overstock.com, HomeGoods and the Pottery Barn Outlet.
DeleteThey look great Kim and I love how you are always styling and restyling and doing something different.
ReplyDeleteThese chairs are beautiful.....I love them!
ReplyDeleteThe banished dining room chairs look great in the guest rooms.
ReplyDeleteI, for one, agree with you. Those tufted chairs are beautiful, but I like them better in the bedrooms where they provide the perfect spot to read, than in the dining room.
ReplyDeleteAlways great to have nice and comfy chairs for your chairs. I love seeing your chairs shuffle about the house!!
