I'm calling it a mini fall tour because it is just two rooms, but get ready for several photos. Tomorrow is actually the first day of fall so Happy Fall! We are going to visit the foyer and then head into the great room. Just a few simple changes were made to welcome the new season and I have not bought a single pumpkin yet. It is too hot so maybe when it cools down again.
On the vintage French cupboard a French bread basket is filled with dried pods.
I had placed an ivy plant into a wire planter and then tucked moss around it and that has sat on the cupboard for awhile. Then I had the idea to stick the planter into the urn and I love the way it looks. A vine and the antler shed add more texture.
My collection of canes in the pot always stays right here next to the front door and I added the vintage wheat sconce above it that used to hang in the breakfast room before I created the copper molds gallery wall.
This is early in the morning as the sun begins to pour in creating a golden glow.
A few minutes later it looks like this. Mango loves his new home on this wall. This poor cow has traveled the house.
Now, we will head into the great room.
Textural pillows in chocolate and some colorful leaves tucked in a vintage confit pot say fall.
I also filled this tian bowl with various fruits and dried pods.
I added my trophy collection to the bookcase and changed out the lamp. This one was on the chest,
but has been replaced with this new lamp in a coppery hue.
I filled this old wooden box with my velvet pumpkins and placed another vine across them.
My favorite aubusson cow pillow comes back out this time of year.
The lamp that was over on the bookcase moved to this French table.

ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteSo gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteKim, I love all your subtle hints of fall.! The morning light pouring in is so pretty! I agree it is so hot, I haven't bought any pumpkins yet! Happy Fall
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam and yes, it is way too hot!
DeleteMorning Kim! Love the squirrel candleholder! So cute. Where did you get it? I hope I can find one!
ReplyDeleteRebecca, I don't even remember I've had it so long. Thanks
DeleteThey have them at Queen of Hearts in Buford.
DeleteOh, really even though most of my readers don't live around here. Good to know in case I need another one.
DeleteEverything is so beautiful and I never noticed your vintage cage doll before this post - she is spectacular and a fabulous find!
ReplyDeleteThanks and the cage doll isn't vintage. Got her last year somewhere.
DeleteLet's start off by the sconce in the foyer...love it there! Love that you have added the touches of Fall so organically in the urns of plants and the bounty of Fall. As always, love the pillows on the sofa...Always curated with perfection....Are those ruffled striped pillows from PB?
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm glad you like it there. I hated taking them down and not using them and then I stuck the one there. I may hang the other one on the other side.
DeleteKim, it's all beautiful! My favorite part is the way your sofa is situated with the lamps and windows behind it. Makes me wonder if we should consider moving ours around. There's plenty of room. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteThanks Stacey. This is a better fit in our room with more room in front to walk to our bedroom.
DeleteI've been drooling over some gorgeous pumpkins at my produce market, but it's still so warm I'm afraid they would rot! I really like to have my fall outside decor through October and up to Thanksgiving. I did buy a couple of little white with the orange "stripes" because those little ones get gone so fast. Not complaining about the gorgeous weather though!
ReplyDeleteYes, I know you love the heat, but I don't. I love the cooler days of fall and spring.
DeleteWe're not at summer temps and our humidity has been down.
DeleteKIm, I love every detail! I noticed a really cool painting on your living room wall with a man with his guitar. It's looks so interesting. I love your cow pillow on the chair in the living room. I sure wish I could have a light colored couch but my dogs would ruin it. Can't wait to see the rest of the tour.
ReplyDeleteSandy, I have had that painting for many years. It was my mom's and she was getting rid of it right after I got married and I grabbed it as I had nothing to hang on the walls. He has hung in that spot ever since we moved in this house 22 years ago. I never move him. He just belongs there. Thanks!
DeleteI loved being that painting! This is the first time I noticed it in your home lol!
DeleteNice tour. I love everything! Yes I do. ❤️ So warm and inviting. I am slowly going fall at my house. 89 degrees here this week so some cool air would be nice to inspire me. Ha!
ReplyDeleteSame here Sheila plus the humidity. I am so ready for the cool crisp days of fall. Thanks!
DeleteBeautiful Kim! I have all of my stuff packed away still, waiting to move into the new house, so I am getting great enjoyment watching you decorate for fall.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so pretty! I love that little squirrel. You are constantly changing things, which I love when I visit your blog. How do you deal with the nails holes? Do you patch all the time, or just let them be? Inquiring minds want to know because I am dying to hang some plates, but fretting about putting holes in the walls, especially if I decide I don't like the look.
ReplyDeleteKim, your house always looks just beautiful. All of your fall touches are perfect to welcome in the season. I am swooning over several of your lamps. Thanks so much for the tour! Happy Fall!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love that squirrel! Your home looks gorgeous as expected. Can't wait for the full tour!
ReplyDeleteShelley
Well you know I'm a sucker for pillows and that cow is adorable!
ReplyDeletelove it all Kim, your photos are wonderful. My standout fave is that mitered box full of velvet pumpkins
ReplyDeleteEverything is so beautiful and inviting! And, it speaks FALL! Love it!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteEverything looks beautiful as you have started bringing in some touches of Fall throughout the house. Yes, its hard to get in "Fall" mode when its so warm outside! Hopefully, it will begin to cool off at the end of the month.
BTW, I love your velvet pumpkins...where did you find them in those gorgeous colors? I only see burnt orange and green in my area and I am not a fan of those colors.
Those are from plushpumpkin.com and I got mine three years ago. They still have those and so much more. There is a giveaway to them on Monday's post.
DeleteLove the simplicity of your Fall decor!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so pretty Kim!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
