It's finally time to share the master bathroom reveal!! I shared some BEFORE PHOTOS last week and I hope you'll check those out, if you missed it, to see what a dramatic change we made. After several months of work with us doing some of the labor and subbing out the rest I finally have my dream bathroom. It is now the fanciest room in the house and it's the room we start and end each day with so it should be spa like, right? I am sharing a lot of pictures today with very little words and I'll share the details and sources soon and possibly a cost breakdown.
If you follow me on instagram then you probably saw a different vanity stool. Yea, I'll explain that next time.
Depending on the light coming in the vanity cabinets change color. This is when the sunlight isn't hitting them.
The tile guy installed the floor and shower tile and Mr. Savvy did this wall. That tile guy has nothing on my man. The mister would have done all of it if it wasn't for his bad back, but we still wouldn't be finished either. 😏
Here you can see the little flecks of color in the quartz. I wish the sparkle ones would show up.
Of course I had to add some fall colored flowers.
Love the custom built ins. One door was installed for storage.
Of course there are monograms. I'm southern.
This vintage French bronze mirror was going to be used on the vanity dressing area, but it isn't magnified and my poor eyes need help.
Have to have a little bling.
Instead of a traditional towel bar I purchased this vintage French rack.
Another chandelier in the potty room. Much better than the exhaust fan with a light built in.
So glad we had the tile laid in the herringbone pattern.
The antique French child's chair is the perfect addition in here. Mr. Savvy asked if he could sit on it and I said yes, if you want to break it.
We could not be more thrilled with how the bathroom turned out and I am patting myself on the back for all the choices I made for the room. This was a huge job to take on and I was second guessing myself through it. I just kept telling myself....you can do it.
If you are still here, thank you.
Find all the details and source list HERE.
WoW its stunning! Congratulations!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful!! If I remember correctly, your before looked a lot like my master bath. I need to redo mine and may have to copy this!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing! I love all of your choices but I'm swooning over the lighting....and that built in!
ReplyDeleteIt's pure perfection. You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh Kim, your bathroom is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThat floor! The herringbone is perfect. And the angles are similar to the diamond tiles in the shower, which, again, kudos for the niche and accent wall matching the floor. Your subway tiles on the walls are as lustrous as pearls.
ReplyDeleteWe have a big glass shower like this in one of our rental apartments and it is a nightmare to clean. If you find a good product that doesn't streak, please share. We are still testing and not yet satisfied. So far, the best is vinegar, but it requires several passes to eliminate streaks.
So far we are keeping it clean by using a squeegee after each shower and it was first cleaned with a glass cleaner. We may put some Rain X on the glass as suggested by the shower glass salesman. That is what he does on his.
DeleteOh, wow! You must be so excited to use this beautiful bathroom everyday! I especially like the built-ins.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteKim, it looks fabulous! Every choice that you made it perfect! I love the tile wall, the tub and all of the built ins.
ReplyDeleteWow....just gorgeous!!! I would stay in there all day!! The child's chair is perfect in its new spot!
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous. You did a great job with all your finish choices, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful Kim! I think if I had to choose a favorite part I would have to say the vanity or the built in linen.
ReplyDeleteI was so excited as soon as I saw the title of your post show up. Stunning, Kim, just stunning! I think I love the tile the most, no the vanity, no maybe the built ins...It's all incredible and so YOU! Love it all!
ReplyDeleteShelley
Oh my goodness! That bathroom is stunning. You did an excellent job! I love the brass chandelier and all the extra vintage touches you added. The bathtub is fabulous. Really everything is! You deserve lots of pats on the back!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Love the light streaming in. (PS We don't have a single towel bar in the house - love the vintage rack!)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Kim. Every selection you made just sets off the next. Floors, fixtures, moldings, lighting, mirrors tieing back to the floors, drapes. Congratulations. Perfection
ReplyDeleteWell it is gorgeous!!!....Love all of the beautiful details and this remodel was truly a labor of love!!! I cannot wait to actually see it in person! And, I knew that chair was going to be the chair that would have its rightful place by the tub! Looks fantastic!!

ReplyDeletethis is fabulous, Kim. you've brought it all together for a low key elegance that is beautiful, comfortable, and practical. I love those freestanding tubs, but I use a lot of hair and bath products that I'd never be able to haul out and put away each bath time. LOVE your little Buffalo Check stool!
ReplyDeleteWell Kim...I think it's gorgeous! Every little detail is stunning...you did a superb job! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh Kim!!! It is stunning! I love every detail! You 2 are a fabulous team! I love that French rack in place of a towel bar! Love the bling, love the SHOWER, love it all. Enjoy!!!!

Your bathroom is so gorgeous, beyond.......
ReplyDeleteBRAVO!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe bathroom looks fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteLike Mr.Savvy, I was also going to ask you whether we can sit on it.😀
stunning!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is drool worthy! My favorite is all the tile chosen...want sources please. and how did they trim out the edge of the wall?
ReplyDeleteI also love the shower fixtures. I would stay in this bathroom forever.
I so rarely make comments but this must be one of the prettiest bathrooms I've seen in a long while. Love it!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteYou and the Mister did a beautiful job of designing this stunning new master bath! Wow...all the details are just gorgeous. I must give kudos to Mr. Savvy on his excellent tile job. My favorite detail is the herringbone floor..it really sets the room off. Also, glad you made the smart choice to go with quartz countertops. While I love marble I have seen the maintenance nightmare they can be.
My hubby is retired and just finished renovating our 90's master bathroom. It took him 4 months (and almost killed him) but its completed and he did an amazing job. We torn out our outdated jetted tub and made a large walk-in shower with bench. You mentioned cleaning the glass on your shower door and since we are going this week to shop for frameless glass doors I have one question. I thought there was a permanent coating you could get for the glass that prevented water spots and kept it clean?
Teresa, I asked him about that and he said he felt it wasn't worth the extra expense and to just use Rain X. You can ask where you shop, but my guy talked me out of it. He seemed to think it doesn't last forever.
DeleteCongrats on the GORGE new space Kim. It looks beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job. Great inspiration when we get ready to redo our ensuite.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! I love the hardware & that tub & shower are pure heaven. ENJOY, Kim!
ReplyDeleteIt's just gorgeous, Kim!!! Pinning like mad over here ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jamie
You most certainly created a beautiful bathroom...that tub you chose is gorgeous too
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely divine Kim! Love your choice in flooring and tile colors! I love how you mixed in traditional & a hint of contemporary with so much charm! Definitely an inspiration for my future master bath reno! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteKim, it's all gorgeous! Love how it turned out and I know you are thrilled. You chose some beautiful finishes and I love that subway tile color, so pretty and serene. Great job on the entire room and the built-in looks so good too. your hubby did a super job on the wall tile. We really want to update our master too and it's fun to see what others are doing. It will be awhile, but I'll be gathering inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous in every detail! Mixing the metals works great as you did as long as you mix the finishes too - shiny, brushed, etc. And the only downside of having a beautiful clear glass shower is that you do have to squeegee after each and every shower and periodically clean the inside and outside of the glass with whatever you like to use. But it's totally worth it!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your new bathroom is stunning! Love every little thing, but especially the floor. You did good :)
ReplyDeleteKim, it is truly stunning!! Every detail is perfect - from the mixing of metals to the accessories! I know you are super excited and you should be

ReplyDeleteVery beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKim, if I may ask, how long did you have to wait for this super amazingly beautiful bathroom? How long have you guys been in your home now and how long did you live with the first bathroom before you even did the minor alterations? I"m trying to see if the motto "patience wins in the end" applies to us all, ha, ha!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it Kim, its simply incredible.
Hugs, Lea (SA)
We built this house in 1995. We did the mini makeover about five or six years ago. Thanks

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a magazine bathroom, perfection! The light pouring from the window and through the curtains makes it magical.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Smitten! Every detail is just gorgeous! You both did a stellar job. And I'm definitely suffering from bathroom envy.
