Today I am sharing the fall sun room and it includes something new. Actually a few new things, but one new larger piece. Blue is still the main color with a little orange and brown tossed in for good measure and maybe a cute fall pillow, too.
Isn't that pillow cute? I found it in this Etsy shop. I like to toss in a little whimsy in each room if I can just to keep things from feeling stiff. I also like using natural elements like the bowl of apples.
And here is the something new. I decided to buy this rattan bench to replace the two chairs on this side of the room. This room is also my office where I blog from. I sit across from this bench and the two chairs blocked the view out the window to our pond and I love to look out at the pond.
This large blue and white jar is also new. I bought it back in the summer, but haven't shared it yet. I found it on sale at Wisteria on line and I thought it was going to be a small jar especially at the price point it was. When it came in this giant box I was very surprised how big and heavy it is.
My favorite squirrel makes his appearance somewhere every fall.
I sit and work in the leather chair. No, it isn't your typical office, but we don't have an office with a desk and I really don't want one. I just work on my laptop in my lap.
Late afternoon sun pouring in.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous week!
You can check out last year's fall sun room here.
Love the blue. I remember when you had it green..always loved that look
ReplyDeleteMy favorite incarnation of your sun room ever, I think! I love the blue with pops of orange around the room. Love the new bench, and especially fond of the kilim pillow on the bench, and how it perfectly ties everything together. So inviting!
ReplyDeleteI just L❤️VE your new pillow! I always love to see your updates. Your sunroom was my inspiration room for my sunroom ( on a much lower budget) Thank you for always adding sunshine to my day 😊
ReplyDeleteIlene, there is nothing expensive about my sunroom either. We built it ourselves from the ground up, framing, wiring, beadboard walls and ceiling, windows, trim, painting, tiled floor all by us. Most furniture is old and or cheap or antiques I have had for many years. Pillows are always bought on sale or at a really good cheaper price. I'm glad you were inspired for your sunroom.
DeleteThat bench is wonderful Kim! Cute pillow too.
ReplyDeleteI love all the blue and the new pillow is adorable! You know I always enjoy seeing that perfect sun room of yours. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteHi there! Love your sunroom....mine is exact same shape and looks to be, size.
ReplyDeleteI never have hung drapes because I love the openness of the glass with the sun shining thru. But I love that lil corner drape you've got just for color!! Can you tell me what type of rods you hung them from??? So cool.
Now you've got me wanting to redo my whole sunroom.....ack!!!!!!
I answered her by email, but for those who may want to know they are short wooden rods from Lowes, but not sure they still carry them.
DeleteLove that new pillow and the whole room's look. Your blues work so well together.
ReplyDeleteKim, I love your sunroom! I have loved it for several years now, through all of your changes. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove your style Kim. You amaze me how much you move things around your home. When I find the right "spot" for something, I'm usually happy with it and leave it there! I notice you moved my favorite antler heads into your sunroom. Do you happen to remember where you got them? I've seen them in magazines but have never been able to locate them. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteKathryn, if I wasn't a blogger my home would not go through as many changes. I change things up to give y'all ideas and inspiration for your homes. I have many antlers all over the house. I have gotten most of them from Ebay. Look up roe deer antlers. I normally get mine from a seller in Austria and the shop is called europeancurios. Ships quickly.
