Yes, it's time to share my first full Christmas post this year. I have never done any Christmas decorating before Thanksgiving, but I was invited to be part of this French country Christmas tour with some friends and a blogger has to do what a blogger has to do. It's good for y'all though since we can give you some ideas early enough for your own home this year. I'm also actually feeling less stressed by getting some of the decorating done early and I will be able to just sit back and enjoy it more this year. I've been working on the upstairs bedrooms, as I shared some peeks yesterday, and can't wait to share the reveals even though I will probably wait until after Thanksgiving, but I'm not making any promises.
Welcome to my French country Christmas Guest Bedroom
I bought this pillow last year and used it in this same room, but the room has completely changed since last year. New bed, drapes, chandelier and a hutch was added. Of course the bedding changes frequently. I used bedding I already had for this room.
I kept things neutral and light with pops of blue for this year's French country style guest bedroom.
Keeping it simple on the side table with just an ironstone punch bowl filled with blue ornaments from Cracker Barrel of all places.
An ironstone platter of vintage bottle brush trees and some cute wooden bells along with St. Nick dress this side table.
Kimberly of @serendipityrefined on instagram shared her wooden bells and I just had to check them out. I ordered the four. I love the ribbons hanging off of them.
I have had this St. Nick for years and he is on the petite side so I placed him on a stack of books.
A French style stocking hangs from the bed filled with some greenery. I purchased this stocking last year and didn't get to use it until now.
For now I am holding back the drapes with these rope tiebacks. I may get a new rod and rings later. These curtains are so heavy That I cant push them open enough.
The doors stay closed, but I did update the inside with a few Christmas decorations.
I hope you found some inspiration from my French country Christmas guest bedroom.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walk I just took on this Christmas tour! Thank you
ReplyDeleteI always love to see how you've decorated your bedrooms any time of the year but this Christmas guest room is especially pretty!
ReplyDeleteHere's a trick (tip?) to those curtains. You can run a piece of ribbon/cord/twine (whatever) through the heading and then tie at the back to hold the drapes where you want them to stay. Hope that makes sense. Then you can ditch the tie-backs.
ReplyDeleteNice tip, but then my guest won't be able to shut them. They close the blinds and curtains.
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous room! Hey, I have a question for you. What color did you use on the China cabinet in your dining room when it was blue?
ReplyDeleteIt was a gray on the outside and it was done in layers of chalk paint using more than one color. Thanks

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your decorating style!! What color paint is on the walls of this bedroom? And where did you get the two smaller beige colored shams on the bed from? You are very talented!!!
