Welcome to my traditional Christmas living room tour.
This year I went traditional in the living room, or as we call it the great room, with some red and green in the accessories. After buying a cute new pillow I started grabbing some of my older pillows to work with it and ended up with traditional Christmas colors. Sometimes it just takes one thing to spark my creative juices. I had no idea what direction I was going in for this room so I'm glad the pillow helped me out. Over the last couple of years I have been weeding out a lot of the red and now I have added some back, but mainly just for Christmas.
Today I'm joining some fellow blog friends from bHome. What is bHome? It's a free app where you can find all kinds of inspiration for your home along with tips and tricks all in one app.
You can find it here.
At the end of the post you will find links to some fellow bHome gals and a very generous giveaway from Lidy of FrenchGardenHouse!
It is so hard to take pictures this time of year as the sun is so bright all day until about 3:30 and then it is much darker inside and not good for picture taking at all so please excuse the overexposed windows.
I cleared the coffee table of all the books and brought out my giant dough bowl. I filled it with various types of pine cones and some greenery.
The confit pot over on the bookcase is filled with some Christmas picks.
More pine picks were added to the concrete urn behind the sofa. That urn is solid concrete and very heavy so it stays put and I just change out what is in it seasonally.
On this side of the room I added a pretty centerpiece from Lynch Creek Farm to the top of the chest. I shared the mantel on Monday with their fresh garland and there is a giveaway going all week if you haven't entered it yet and all the info is in Monday's post.
This is the Hunter's Hollow Centerpiece and I love the cute little chickadee on it and it goes so well with the pillows I already had on hand placed in the chairs beside the chest.
My tree was next to the fireplace last year, but it moved back to where we have always placed the tree before.
Another old pillow was placed in this chair. It's nice to shop my stash. 😉
And another pillow from last year sits on this bench.
As usual my assistant is napping on the job.
Thanks for taking the time to tour my Christmas living room. I hope you will take some time to visit some friends' homes in the links below for much more inspiration and the giveaway info is below.
