Spring is in the air and I am looking forward to adding spring style around the house. Today I thought I would share my favorite spring styles in the sun room from the past few years since I have many new readers. Be sure to click the highlighted links to see the full posts.
It's fun to look back and see how this room has looked through the years. I'm looking at this and I no longer have the drop leaf table, chair, rug, drapes, red lamps, or even the fiddle leaf fig tree. I kept the tree for quite some time, but it eventually bit the dust. Even the wall color has been lightened up.
In the 2016 spring sun room the walls were lighter and most of the room was neutral so I added bright pops of color with the accessories.
I love to try different colors from time to time. These colors were not my normal go to colors. The orangey coral color is not a favorite of mine, but sometimes it's good to step out from the norm and try something different.
Last year the room was very blue. I love blue and I broke it up with the patterned curtains and pillows. Hmmm, I need to pull out those pillow covers.
I loved the patterned curtains, but they didn't allow me the freedom to change things up without making sure the pattern and color worked with my changes so they were good for a few months.
Not sure what I'm doing this spring in this room. I'm sure something will come to me. I'll probably pull out some old pillow covers and maybe mix in something new.

Whatever you decide, it will be perfection as always!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun looking back Kim!
ReplyDeleteIf you still have the curtains, you could repeat previous versions. You have succeeded in making completely different feels with each version.
ReplyDeleteI always love the sunroom, whether pops of red, blue or just neutral! It always looks fresh and welcoming!
ReplyDeleteHow on earth do you find room to 'store' all of the pictures, nick/nacks, pillows, curtains, bed linens, . . . ?
ReplyDeleteI don't keep everything forever. I give stuff to my kids and to GoodWill. I also have storage areas.
DeleteGood to know that a warehouse is not being leased!!
DeleteJust shopped for a Sherry Kline Country Manor Comforter Set that I saw through Pinterest. Available at Neiman Marcus and Horchow – on sale it’s ridiculously expensive for a seasonal bedding. Love what you find and amazed at the library of bedding you have accumulated.
That room looks good in every color. Love your style!
ReplyDeletelove this room..... regardless
ReplyDeleteA great room. My favorite is the red checked drapes. I'll take them if you're tired of them! Red, white and blue are favorites of mine. Love your decorating.
ReplyDeleteHope your Mom is doing well. Pam
Yes. so much fun to see how this room has changed over the years...it gets prettier and prettier....I am sure you will come up with great ideas for this room...you always do!
ReplyDeleteThis is always such a lovely space...it's fun to see the different ways you have decorated it! I love the beadboard...what did you use to get the look...tongue and groove, paneling, wallpaper? It looks so pretty in there!
ReplyDeleteLove the sofa...but, how in the world do you keep it clean?
ReplyDeleteIt's a washable slipcover.
DeleteAlways looks beautiful, but I vote for the red!
ReplyDeleteTell me where to buy those red and white check drapes? Since COUNTRY CURTAINS closed I am struggling to find good lined drapes. Thank you!
Probably won't see red around here except for holidays. Mine came fro Country Curtains, but were not lined. Folks on Etsy make them.
DeleteAs always love your decorating so much inspiration
