A couple of weeks ago I shared this guest bedroom dressed in pink and gray and I shared the other guest bedroom a few weeks ago dressed in navy and pink. Well, on a whim I thought I would switch the bedding from one room to the other with a few changes and today I'm sharing the farmhouse style bedroom dressed in navy and white instead of navy and pink and I didn't spend a single dime.
Gingham and Ticking Farmhouse Style Bedroom Without Spending a Dime
After pulling off all the bedding on both beds I just put them on the other beds with some slight changes. I pulled the navy ticking pillows from the sunroom to add here. The white quilt was in a drawer.
I also added the navy checked stools here and moved the trunk to the bonus room since I didn't like it at the foot of the bed in the other bedroom.
This is the pattern on the opposite side of the duvet and I let this color show when I had this bedding in the other room as you can see in this navy and pink guest bedroom post.
I added the dog in the truck artwork to add a pop of color and whimsy.
The only pink in here is this blue ginger jar filled with flowers.
The navy checked shams also have the pink multicolored print on the other side. It's nice getting double duty out of this bedding. Of course I mixed patterns again.
This was such an easy switch and I love how this looks totally different in this room and I didn't spend a dime. I just shopped the house. 😀
Looks wonderful!!!!...cannot wait to see the other room!
ReplyDeleteI love it! What a great idea. I especially love "shopping the house"

The dog in the car says summer to me! A really beautiful room as always!
ReplyDeleteLOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteKim, this room is like a painter's pallet for you! I love seeing the many ways you change it up.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue and white Kim!
ReplyDeleteIs the headboard wall really shiplap or wallpaper that looks like shiplap?
ReplyDeleteIt's removable wallpaper.
DeleteCan you tell us what brand.. saw these before but wondered if they were good and would stick well! Gotta have it!
DeleteMine is by Limitless Walls.
DeleteThat is so smart! Just changing things from one room to another can make them feel completely fresh and new.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! It is fun to change up bedrooms with new bed linens!!! I loved doing this even in my kids' bedrooms when they were little. We had a ton of quilts, comforters and light-weight blankets for every season and warmth-need, so it was fun playing with all of that. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy spring to you! I pinned a few pics for your readers and mine.
Thank you,
Barb <3
Hello Kim!
ReplyDeleteGingham is my favorite. It provides a classic and clean, crisp look.
Thank you for sharing your ideas.
I have a pinky red toile quilt & shams in one of my guest bedrooms. When I saw what you did with adding some navy in, I found a beautiful navy print pillow in my attic that looks wonderful in there. And, I just did my bedroom over in pink & gray for the summer. The main quilt is a gray & white summery print with matching shams. At Home Goods, I found a lovely blush pink quilt & shams to add to it. I just love the look; it's very springy/summery & I love walking into by bedroom & seeing it. It makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteI love the pillow on the armchair. Will you share where you bought it?
ReplyDeleteThat is from Taylor Linens.
DeleteWonderful room change, the removable paper is fabulous...but I just love the rug. May I ask where you found it?
ReplyDeleteThat is wall to wall carpet by Mohawk carpet.
DeleteI am looking for a bed just like that one and can't find one. Have you had this one for awhile and do you mind sharing where you got it? I love this room!
ReplyDeleteI found it on overstock.com a few years ago. I searched metal beds. They may have some similar. Thanks
