I've been keeping a secret. I ordered a new bed for the master last July and soon it will finally be delivered. I saw this bed many years ago in a local store and just loved it. So this year I bit the bullet and ordered it while it was on sale from the Charles P. Rogers website. The website said it shipped in two weeks, but then after I ordered it I found out it was going to be six to eleven weeks as they have to make it. Not sure why the website said two weeks. Glad it was ready in six weeks and now I'm waiting for it to be delivered. I'm not a patient person, but I have had a lot going on so that has helped.
Plans for the Master Bedroom
I'm going to pull this duvet out again and I've ordered a few new things to go with it.
I love the Pottery Barn pick stitch quilt and am going to use it in this soft blue.
I ordered this linen bed skirt from this Etsy Shop and it's on it's way.
I love all of the choices. Can't wait to see it all put together!
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom will be gorgeous!! That is a beautiful bed. Can’t wait to see the end result. I bought that duvet cover but am still trying to put everything together. You are good inspiration.
ReplyDeleteOh my! That bed and those linens!!! I can surely understand your impatience!!! It's going to be gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful choices!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. May I ask which color bedskirt you chose, natural or an off white?
ReplyDeleteI ordered the natural. I was afraid the other one would be too yellow.
DeleteLOVE the bed and you will love that soft blue pick stitch quilt...I hope to use it again in one of the future bedrooms...can't wait to see it all come together....I am sure you are anxious to get the bed...it's a beauty!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be beautiful, Kim! Can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be such a lovely and cozy room! Wonderful choice of details and I love the bed. Pastel and bright colors will make your bedroom sparkle in its full glory. I'm definitely staying tuned to see the result :)
ReplyDeleteit is all so lovely....and that bed!! worth the wait right!!
ReplyDeleteLove the bed, would you mind sharing info about the duvet, pattern and source. I am always trying to find soft prints for my home. Know your room is going to be beautiful. Look forward to seeing it!
ReplyDeleteThe duvet is from Pottery Barn. It is the Grace Floral linen texture one.
DeleteThanks
Kim you have some great choices and I cannot wait to see it all done up. That bed is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI am excited to see your post on it all done.
Hugs,
Kris
I love all the bedding. You should have had LaFortune make you a pillow! Didn't you have a similar bed in that room at one time?
ReplyDeleteNo, I've never had a brass bed in the master before.
DeleteOh I see now - I was thinking of the one in the farmhouse style bedroom which is a similar style but I guess different finish. We have a metal bed in our master, but it is not brass.
DeleteIt will be so beautiful - I've always admired that bed! I've been working on our master bedroom and it's slow going... wish I could pull together a room as well as you can! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have had my iron bed for 25 years! It is so beautiful and goes with every change I make. I look at other beds when I think I want to change and none of them seem to size up so I keep my bed and probably will forever! Yours will be beautiful as well.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see this pulled together. I have been eyeing that duvet for awhile trying to decide if it was going to have too much yellow in it for my bedroom - but your pictures honestly make it look prettier than the PB online pics. You have beautiful taste Kim.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it. All of the individual pieces are so pretty!
