Today I'm joining The Fall Home Style Blog Hop and you'll find all the links at the bottom of the post.
Yesterday I shared my master bedroom ready for fall along with my new bed and today we're going in my favorite guest bedroom to decorate seasonally. For me adding fall doesn't mean adding alot of things that say fall, but adding things that add warmth and a sense of cozy for the cooler days and nights ahead. On Sunday our weatherman said that the high of ninety should be our last this year and I'm holding him to it. We should be in the mid seventies and I'm so ready for the cooldown. Then when I look at all the layers I have added they will feel welcome instead of making me sweat.
When fall is in the air it makes me think more about nesting and staying in more and I thought this pillow I found at a local shop was just perfect. Home should be our happy place.
I pulled out the gray bedding I had on hand and just layered it all together. The ticking shams which are a bit masculine looking mix well with the ruffled shams that add femininity.
To add a nice pop of color I found these cute pupmkin tree brances at Costco and mixed them with some other branches I had on hand. I've never heard of these pumpkin trees before, have you?
A cozy corner to curl up in.
I found this super soft made in Italy throw at HomeGoods. Such a great place to find nice throws that don't break the bank.
Are you ready for some more fall inspiration? Then be sure to check out my friends below!

Love the grey tones Kim and that's the color I'm accenting with in my bedroom for fall too! You're so great at bed layering and I seriously struggle with that.
ReplyDeleteYour guest room looks so cozy!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like such a comfy bed. I love all the layers and fabrics. I also adore those baskets! Enjoy your week!

ReplyDeleteThis guest room would make any guest feel welcome and special. I love all of the bedding and the nice layering!
ReplyDeleteso pretty kim. you have such a gift in styling bedrooms.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this! I'm just beginning a grey guest room makeover and I wish you could come and make the bed. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the grey bedding in this room along with that cozy throw! One year I grew some of those little "pumpkins on a stick!" Keep meaning to do that again.
ReplyDeleteLove all of this...so inviting! Would you by chance be able to share the source for the ruffled bedding? Although, since you said you 'pulled it out', it's probably something unavailable. 😞
ReplyDeleteI bought it last spring from Pottery Barn. Not sure if they still carry it or not. Thanks
DeleteThanks, Kim...appreciate it. And again, loving both bedrooms...and the iron bed is one of the prettiest I think I've seen!
DeleteBeautiful Kim! Love all the layers of the bed.
ReplyDeleteOh Kim, I always look up to you for bedroom decor inspiration, it feels so cozy and inviting!
ReplyDeleteKim I just love the way you style your bedrooms. Do you have a formula that you follow such as quilt on bottom..duvet at end of bed etc or do you mix it up? I would love to be as creative as you are.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lindy. I basically do the same formula, but mix it up by adding to it to. I love to visit stores like Pottery Barn and study how they do their beds.
DeleteI found your site through browsing Pinterest and I am literally going through each picture of your rooms that you've done over the years and loving every bit of your decorating. Your neutrals and pops of color are breathtaking and keep me looking at every detail. I'm hooked. Ha ha! I would like to ask you where you got the wood plank wallpaper in your guest room? I was shocked that you mentioned it was wallpaper. While I love the look of real wood sometimes it's just easier to use wallpaper. I LOVE wallpaper, yet hard to find and isn't cheap. Willing to pay for the type you have in that bedroom. You are so amazing with colors and detail. Wow! Thank you for allowing all of us to ooooo and ahhhhh over all you do. It's beautiful. I am a seasonal changer...actually who needs a season to have an excuse to change things, right!? The flow of colors in your home are perfection. Can you tell I am in awe...indeed I am.
ReplyDeleteLynn you are too kind and I'm glad you are having fun touring my home. The wallpaper is by limitlesswalls.com. His prices are rather high to me and he gave me my paper so others would find his new site. You can also find planked wallpaper on Etsy and much cheaper. The paper I got is well made though and I have not used the Etsy paper.
DeleteI love the bedding...we are getting ready to buy a home and love the duvet with the ruffles in the gray tones....Who makes it?
ReplyDeletePottery Barn, but not sure they carry that one anymore.
DeleteJust love your style with the gray tones and everything is so put together. Where dud you find the picture of the cow with the black back ground it is really neat.
ReplyDeleteThat is from Ballard Designs. Thanks
DeleteHi Kim, love your style. Where did you find the French country bed in your guestroom? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt's an iron bed bought several years ago from overstock.com. Thanks
