Wow Us Wednesdays 394

Welcome to Wow Us Wednesdays! Hope y'all are having a good week. Mine is a bit crazy and busy. I had skin cancer surgery again this morning, biggest one yet (please don't worship the sun), my mom got out of the hospital yesterday after staying five days and we are moving her to a new room with more care later this week. Oh, and grandparent's day on Friday at one of my granddaughter's school. So yes, life gets busy.

Thanks so much to all of you who linked up last week when I brought the party back!
Loads of great links so let's look at some features.

First up is Shirley's beautiful great room in their rental home while their new home is being built.

Pamela shared her pretty blue and white dining room ready for fall.

You must meet Mary's friend Rod Skellington at Home is Where The Boat Is. Seriously cute!

Let's whip up some of these double chocolate caramel apples like Judith did.

Thanks again for partying here.
Now let's see what you have to wow us with this week!
1. Please only link up home and garden, DIY, crafts and recipe posts.
2.  No advertising, shops, link parties or posts promoting sales.
3. Please don't post something you already posted before. New content only.

  1. Kim, Thanks for sharing my fishing buddy, Rod. He's honored and thrilled to be featured just in time for Halloween. :) Thanks for hosting!

  2. Great features! I hope you are healing from the surgery...sounds like you've been busy! Thanks for hosting as always!

  3. Hey Kim...thanks for the feature! ... It has been a challenge decorating the rental house a.k.a. The Berry Patch House using furnishings to fit the space...but love a challenge!....Good luck with your mom's move...glad she is out of the hospital!...yes, and stay out of the sun! Thanks for hosting!

  4. Best features!!! Thanks for hosting and Happy Halloween!

  5. You have pretty features here, I always say, it must be so hard to choose a few from so many talented bloggers. So happy your mom is finally out of the hospital. Blessings to her.
    Thank you for hosting.
    Happy Halloween.

  6. Keep em coming Kim! I spent way too much time in the sun too. So far just one on my wrist but guaranteed more to come at 63+

  7. I hear you on the skin situation, I did like you did, baby oil by the pool for years. Hope things go well with your mom's move, this is a difficult time. Thanks for starting the party up again, we've all really missed it!

  8. So sorry to hear about another skin surgery! I worshiped the sun, too, and am allergic to chemical sunscreens. UGH! Glad to hear that your mom is out of the hospital.

  9. I think many of us, of a certain age, worshipped the sun and now we're paying for it. I hope you heal well and get things straightened around with your mother in her new room and care. Great features!

  10. Goodness Kim, you do have a lot going on my friend. Prayers for you and your mom. I know it is a tough time on both counts. I hope that you will be able to get some down time soon. Thank you for including me with the other lovely ladies for features! Glad to have WOW back!

  11. Hi Kim. You certainly have a lot on your plate - make sure you take care of yourself. Best wishes on this next step for your mom. Thanks so much for hosting. Jane

  12. Happy fall to you, Kim! So glad your mom is out of the hospital. It's rough going sometimes and I loved the room you created for her at her last place ~ I'm sure her new situation is just as beautiful. <3 I think I can say that we all are glad you are back; we all missed WOW each week! Yours was one of the first I ever joined once I figured out how to do it!

Blessings to you and prayers for your mom's continued good health,
    Barb :)

  13. Thanks so much for hosting Kim! So glad to hear that your mom is getting out of the hospital. Hope you heal quickly for your surgery.

  14. Thanks so much for hosting Kim! So glad to hear that your mom is getting out of the hospital. Hope you heal quickly from your surgery.

  15. Thank you for hosting another great party this week! I'm sharing my easy Apple Snack recipe :)

  16. Thanks for hosting Kim and hope you're recovering well from your surgery. I remember when Mom had this same type of surgery and it took a bit to heal. Wishing you a Happy Halloween 🎃

  17. Thanks for hosting, Kim! And hope the surgery was successful and recovery will be quick.

  18. Thanks for hosting and wishing you a speedy recovery from surgery. Have a wonderful week.

  19. Thanks for hosting Kim. Hope your skin cancer surgery went well. I know all about it...6 skin cancers removed over the years and numerous pre-cancerous spots frozen. All due to too much over-exposure in younger years and through the years. Please make sure younger family members especially teenage girls stay out of tanning booths and use sun screen protection when out in the sun. Tanning booths are not safe and tell them opt for spray tanning at a professional salon. I know we all want a tan in warmer months but a fake bake is the only safe way to achieve that. Plus you will be subject to more wrinkles in later years as well.

  20. Thank you for hosting Kim and prayers for you and your mom.

  21. Kim,
Thinking of you as you care for your mom and as you take care of your own skin cancer. Thanks for hosting Wow Us Wednesdays even in the midst of all you are taking care of.

I had a basal cell skin cancer removed from my jawline this summer and had my follow-up appointment last week. All is well with it. However, one of my kitties developed a urinary blockage that required emergency surgery for him, and then I caught a terrible stomach virus. Between caring for a very sick kitty and the stomach virus I have been totally out of commission for the past week. So, no new blog posts to share with your Wow Us Wednesdays this week.

Thanks for featuring the chocolate caramel apples. Fortunately, I was able to do that with my family before all the health issues.
