Antique Shopping

6.26.2019

I have not been antique shopping in quite awhile in my local area, but Sunday I just needed to get out for a bit after painting for two days so I made a visit at the antique store that's about forty minutes from me, but worth the trip.
Today I'm sharing some pictures I took while there.

I loved this antique salt glazed dispenser with the beautiful design on it. It's probably missing the lid, but it is good for adding greenery or flowers to it.

Beautiful very large French armoire. This would be gorgeous in a room with high ceilings.

Great iron bench and it can come with an optional cushion for an extra charge.

Close up.

Great booth with copper, baskets, and pottery.

I always stop by this booth to see what he has. Love the table with the paint wearing off.

There was a pair of these. Wish I had a spot for them.

There were also a pair of these unique chairs. Why am I drawn to chairs? These might have come home with me except they were a bit pricey. I would also have to get rid of chairs in order to bring more in.

Great old boards that were listed as pizza boards. Good price at $125 each.

Beautiful newly upholstered chaise.

Here is the info for the chaise.

More boards.

Beautiful table from Avignon, France. I didn't even notice the beautiful piece of coral on top until I looked at this photo. Funny how you can miss things until you look at the photo. That's a beautiful color and I bet the price is up there. I may need a trip back to check it out.

I may have purchased something in this booth and I will share soon.

It's hump day already!

 Have a good one.

  1. I love that you share your antiquing excursions, it's like armchair (window) shopping for me! Lot's of lovely items there to peruse and enjoy some retail therapy. I can't wait until you share your purchase with us and I am hoping it is the pointing dog! Stay cool. Bonnie G.

  3. Love the bird dog in the last pic. I wonder what the large, flat basket is used for in the 2nd pic of boards you shared? Coral is a weird color, at least on my computer. Looks like a good place to go antiquing. We live somewhat rural, so all our antiquing escapades require a drive. Sadly, so many of the shops I loved are going out of business.

  8. Hi Kim, I'm local and assuming this is the Queen in Alpharetta? I have a Christmas gift certificate to use and you have inspired me to make the trip!

  11. Very fun armchair shopping! Hot here in New Mexico, so I am avoiding getting into the oven that is masquerading as a car! I also love the little bird dog but am sort of hoping you purchased the painting behind the lamp so we all get a better look!
