Southern Living Idea House 2109

I have been subscribing to Southern Living magazine for decades and I always look forward to their annual idea house. They are always filled with beautiful inspiration and this year's looks fabulous. The home was built from the ground up by Riverside Homes and designed by Heather Chadduck. It's on Crane Island which is close to Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach, Fl.

All these beautiful images are making me want to plan a trip to see this in person. Hopefully, if we decide to drive down to my son's house in south Florida sometime this fall, we can stop over and tour this gorgeous home since it stays open until mid December.

Enjoy all these lovely photos from Southern Living.

Step into the foyer and the open living room.

Yummy blues and great mix of patterns.

Isn't this a fabulously unique way to hang art?

Love the dining room with the blue upholstered seating and that chippy white lantern. It's like a mix of formal and casual. Don't miss that fun floor.

Of course there's an outdoor room to enjoy. In fact there are several.

This is a sitting area in the master bedroom.

This bathroom and green tub....what more can we say?

This guest room was created to look like a sleeping porch that was later enclosed.

Another beautiful bedroom with color, patterns and texture.

There is a lot of blue in this home, but there are beautiful neutrals, too like this cozy room.

I don't want to share it all with you so go check out more at Souther Living,

And today I'm going with my man to tour the Cashiers Historical Society's Showhouse in HIghlands, NC which is about an hour and a half drive for us.

I'll probably share some on Instagram today.

Enjoy the weekend and happy August!

I have not opened my Southern Living yet so thank you for sharing! I love the master bath.

  2. Oh gosh! I’d love to see this one, too!

  3. Beautiful home. I was at Amelia Island in May. I wish I had known about this! Have fun in Cashiers.

  4. This one is gorgeous. What a beautiful home and what a beautiful place to have this home.
Happy Friday Kim. Have a great weekend.

  5. I love this! Decorated beautifully. But did I see they ran the wood floor one way in the entry and a different way down the hall? Hmmm.
