Last week I shared the Fun Art in a French Country Fall Bedroom with the cutest cow sitting in a chair painting. If you missed it you can click on the link. Today we are going across the hall to the farmhouse style bedroom that isn't decorated in the normal fall colors like browns, oranges, rusts, greens and golds. I stuck with the blue and white in this room and added this new coverlet that I found online at Schoolhouse. It has a country appeal about it.
From there all I did was add some apples for a simple fall look. I prefer using apples early in the fall.
Fall Bedroom Tour of a Different Color
While browsing online I came across this coverlet and was immediately drawn to it. I like the fact that it's reversible, too. One side is dark and one side is light.
Mr. Savvy and I bought this apple painting years ago at a local monthly flea market. I was actually drawn to the pine frame. It was first used in the kitchen, but has traveled the house.
I filled this vintage grocery basket with faux apples and added a fun pillow I have had for a few years on the tufted chair.
I tucked in some faux crabapple and other branches in this happiness jar by the bed.
I placed this vintage French pitcher on this nightstand and didn't fill it with anything. I wanted the warm color of it to stand alone.
Anyone who has been reading this blog knows I love to mix and match patterns. On this bed I have the large pattern on the coverlet and then pinstriped Euro shams, gingham standard shams and a ticking stripe throw pillow.
This is just so pretty. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love all the apples and that cute apple pillow. It's finally cooler here in NJ today. We woke up to 59 degrees and the high is only supposed to be about 77! Enjoy your day!

Everything looks wonderful! May I ask you where did coverlet came from?
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity. Also, can you share the source of the coverlet?
ReplyDeleteI had to go back and look at my post after y'all asked where the coverlet is from to make sure I mentioned that and I did in the first paragraph. It's from Schoolhouse.
ReplyDeleteJust perfect for fall! The apple painting is the star of the room!
ReplyDeleteSuch a welcoming room! I like to use apples too, before all the pumpkin stuff comes out.
ReplyDeleteThat coverlet is so pretty, love that is reversible. Beautiful room, Kim!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and inviting. Love the apple painting. Here in N.C still in the 90s.Hard to get in the autumn mood and it is my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteThe room looks very warm and comfortable with the dark blues, and reds in the apples. Apples always remind me of Autumn and warm pie with ice cream. It's still Summer-like here, but cooler temps are expected next week. Everything looks very nice here. xo
ReplyDeleteWhat size coverlet did you use? I believe this is a queen size bed. The draping is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt is a queen and the fabric is a knit so that's why it drapes nicely.
