Fall Tour 2019

11.04.2019

I have shared some rooms individually over the last couple of months decorated for fall, but I wanted to put them together in one post.

I know many are moving on to Christmas decor, but it's just too soon for me. Just call me old fashioned. Anyway we just started enjoying fall here recently. Let's not rush the season.

I know many share Christmas early so our readers can find inspiration and I may share some old Christmas decor posts, but not new ones yet. I am planning things though in case I need to get anything new.

If I decorate this early I will want it all down before Christmas gets here.
Anyone else?

Welcome to my fall tour 2019.

I hope y'all have an awesome week and watch for me on instagram in the next day or so as I share where I am this week

  1. I agree about fall for those of us in warmer climes. We're just now having 70s consistently so fall is better than 2 months of Christmas for me. Also thank you for making me not feel so guilty about the quilt on the couch against puppy paws. Love your pompom throw!

  2. I am with you Kim. I don't decorate for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. Your home looks cozy all dressed for fall.

  3. Your home is absolutely lovely. I love the buffalo check bedskirt with the floral comforter, such a great look! I agree regarding decorating for Christmas. If I decorated this early I would certainly be tired of it by Christmas. We usually decorate the day after Thanksgiving. But, I do appreciate and understand bloggers/influencers decorating early. It gives me a chance to consider new additions before everything sells out.

Also,I want to thank you for continuing your blog. I know it is a lot of work, but I do enjoy reading every post. You are so talented, not at encouraging people to buy new like other bloggers/influencers, but at mixing your old with new to keep your home looking fresh, current and definitely collected.

  5. Kim, your home is so warm and lovely. I love how you use touches of Fall in your décor but its never over-done. I am with you on the early Christmas decorating. I made the mistake of decorating too early one year and I was so tired of it by Christmas. I do pre-plan my Christmas décor so I have things ready to go but nothing goes up until after Thanksgiving. I avoid shopping on the day after Thanksgiving and opt to do my decorating then.

  7. I love how simply tallish your home is. It’s very welcoming. I do like how the inside of your front door isn’t white. Very pleasing to the eye. My favorite is your fall table. Did you double up on the napkins?

  8. Each and every picture is exquisite and I love the light you've captured in them! And oh my goodness - I love that cow in the blue chair! I hold onto fall until the weekend after Thanksgiving and then go all out for Christmas through the New Year and until Epiphany - Three Kings Day- on January 6.

  9. I enjoyed the Fall tour of your beautiful home.
I am in total agreement on the timing of Christmas decorating. It is way too early, even for those of us living in Minnesota.

  10. Everything looks lovely. I'm with you on the fall thing. Living on the panhandle of Florida it stays warm a long time. We just had a cool night for Halloween. I'll decorate the day after Thanksgiving.

  11. I am with you on the seasonal decorating! Sure, I love looking at all the Christmas inspiration but since I host Thanksgiving, I keep the fall decor out until then. Then on Black Friday, it all comes down and I pull out the Christmas. Your home looks so pretty with all your fall decor and I love the photos with the light streaming in. Enjoy your week!

  12. Your home tour is fabulous!!

I have never decorated for Christmas because every year I host Thanksgiving....however this year I am not (gasp yay gasp) so I will early because I am hosting a very special early Christmas tea the weekend after and have a LOT to do and no energy to do it. : - )

Love your beautiful home and decor.

  17. I love your home and your decorating style. My home is much smaller and not as many formal spaces, but your blog posts have given me so much inspiration thru the years. I will be decorating earlier than normal due to Thanksgiving being a little later and some early Dec obligations. Enjoy your vacation!!!

  19. Kim, your home shines! Every single room is perfection.👌 I was going up and down checking it all. Love that urn full of hydrangeas, the tassels pillow and those cute squirrel napkin rings... Love it all! ❤️

  20. Your fall home is beautiful, as always, Kim. Thank you for sharing! I love all the blues and the contrast of the yellows, golds, and ambers in the dining room are delicious looking. I'm like you and am enjoying the fall even today. I love seeing the oak leave scattered across the yard and the multicolored golds and oranges mingled with the browns of the trees on the hills across the road. (This year there is SO much brown because we were so dry earlier.) We are in the early planning stages of a kitchen redo. Is your oven topped by a microwave? If so, what brand? I like the white that blends with cabinetry and want that sort of setup.

  21. Kim, I love your home and how you've decorated it. We just had a new grand baby born this week and today is the first chance I've had to look at some of my favorite blogs. Everything is stunning!

  22. This was a treat, looking over your home from top to bottom dressed for fall. I think fall is my least favorite season, and I enjoy the Christmas, but don't like to go full bore right away. I love the lights and the greens, they make the darker days magical.

  23. I love your home! I totally agree with you about Christmas decorating! We wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate, this year probably the Saturday!
