Southern Living Idea House Part Two

11.18.2019

The Southern Living Idea House had a lot of rooms plus outdoor spaces so that meant a lot of photos. I shared the living room, master bedroom and bath HERE and today I'm sharing some more of this beautful home.

Of course Florida living means enjoying the outdoors most of the year except I would not be outside when it's swealtering hot. This screened porch would be perfect this time of year. It can get chilly in north Florida and that fire would feel so good.

This is another outdoor area off the living room and breakfast room.

Pretty views of the marsh can be seen from just about every room.

For some reason I didn't get any good kitchen shots. The kitchen is open to the living room and really isn't very large.

You can see how the living room sits right in front of the island.

Nice walk in pantry.

Here is the pantry with the doors closed.

Another pretty bedroom with a white metal four poster bed.

I like how this fabric was added to the head and footboard.

Wouln't you like to wake up to this. I love the moss hanging from the trees. Reminds me of my years living on St. Simons Island.

Don't forget to look up.

This is the ensuite bathroom.

This is a bathroom upstairs and I love the sink with the skirt and the striped floor.

There are a lot of beautiful well designed rooms, but the bunk room was my favorite.

This bunk room has a grown up feel, but might be a bit hard climbing up a ladder to get up top. One of the tour guides said the ladders were put away.

This would be such a great spot to just chill out if you needed a break. Just choose a bed and pull the drapes closed and take a nap or read a book. The room was very small and so cozy.

I have more to share so another post will come up soon.

Have a great week!

  1. The bunks are classy not just the usual bunk. The range is very nice and I really liked the over head vent rather than the usual vent-a-hood style.

  2. What a beautiful marsh view from the outdoor room and bedroom! I love the ensuite bathroom but felt the vanity was a little underwhelming but maybe it looked different in person. I did love the striped floor in the upstairs bathroom and thought it added a lot of contrast to the room.

  3. Love it all. I love the idea for the curtain/drapes on the bunk beds.
    Have a great week Kim.

  4. So do you have any info on the bedding on the four poster bed?

    1. No, I sure don't. I was just there touring and taking pictures. Most of the bedding was custom.

  5. Really beautiful design. The Golden Isles & north Florida are beautiful with the Spanish moss. Glad you have enjoyed this home and thanks for sharing!
