A French Country Christmas Dining Room

Christmas eve is just one week away and my tables are ready. It's actually my daughter's turn to host this year, but we are using my house since our family keeps on growing and she feels we have more room here. If we weren't celebrating here my tables would not have been set, but since we are I had to get on the stick and come up with ideas. I actually enjoy creating table settings for the holidays. I grabbed chargers, plates, glasses, silverware and then I needed a centerpiece. Let's take a look at what I came up with this year.

A French Country Christmas Dining Room

I placed this bench here for now, but when we sit to eat I will move this and place two chairs here.

I placed a tiny faux tree in an ironstone dish, added some twinkle lights, then added more little trees on a mat of snow for the centerpiece. I also wrapped garland around the chandelier.

Just for fun I also attached a bird to the tree.

I placed two little trees that have lights that come on at night on the hutch along with my little vintage toy horse that was already up there.

I ordered the champagne sparkly trees by Raz from Amazon.

The transfereware in the center of the French hutch was replaced with white dishes and some tiny bottlebrush trees adorn each row.

I pulled out dishes I have had for years. I bought these star plates at Target many years ago.

I used this white flocked tree in here two years ago and decided to place it in this corner again. I love the glow of the lights at night and it will make dinner more festive.

I used green ornaments I already had on hand and the poinsettia picks tucked in here and there.

Are you hosting Christmas dinner?

I'll share the breakfast room table soon.

Enjoy your week!
